NVC case is now set to 'READY", should I start calling  Ciudad Juarez embassy now? Or should I wait until my fiance receive P3?

Keep in mind that a forum like this one is for initial bonding with others who are along the same timeline as you for initial processing. The initial application is the same no matter where in the world you are. But, having said that, once you get your approval (NOA2 text message or email), you should also check in with your country's sub-forum to get a better understanding of the process for the Embassy that you will be interviewing with, and to get direct answers from those who have completed the steps you are about to at the US Embassy - Juarez Mexico.

Link: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/96-mexico-latin-south-america/

Get the Juarez K1 Embassy instructions at http://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/K1/CDJ%20-%20Ciudad%20Juarez.pdf (Spanish) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cBWgGJr4a5ay3b4OV28_dC3pgf63ZUr-/view?usp=sharing (English) as this is your bible needed to complete and receive your visa. The required documents are included and use this website as a checklist. Once you have completed or gathered the required documents you'll be ready for your interview.

Last but not least, READ the pages on the US Embassy website for you country so that you are up to speed.

Just a reminder that once DHL has a hold of your package, you can track it here.

http://www.dhl-usa.com/en/express/tracking/shippers_reference.html

Shipper's reference looks something like this (EXP 30 OCT 2018A).

Date range for shipment just put Oct 1 through 31.

And select your country.

Only one going to Abu Dhabi didn't get picked up until today and it weighs 17 lbs!  Don't think that's an I-129f packet :(

I’m sure they send a bunch of cases in one packet. I doubt they send each one individually.

In the past they use to send single cases now they send a pallet, if warranted every other week.

That's cheap. Philippines charges $265 for everything. Herein lies the problem. You have done your research and I commend you for doing so. Others, are just reading your post and assuming that it will work for them and guess what, just like everything else their mileage varied from yours and they are now stuck. That sometimes is the problem with advocating something without a disclaimer attached. Just saying.

So I went to the medical and the doctor said I had all my vaccinations and I didn't need anything else. He said this examination was valid for 6 months (enough time to file for AOS). I don't know if I still need to see a civil surgeon in the USA before filing AOS.. Any suggestions, @Greenbaum

At the medical, many people didn't have their vaccinations and had to pay extra (around 100 dollars) to get the missing ones @kimme79

Forgot to post an update, but my fiancee had her interview yesterday and was approved, however, she didn't take her daughter with her and is now on her way to the embassy again. 😂 Apparently she called the embassy the day before the interview to ask about bringing her daughter, and they told her it wasn't necessary, and then the CO said she was supposed to be there. I had also told her that she needed to attend. 🤷‍♂️

Did you receive a completed DS-3025 which is needed once you file the AOS in the US. Without it then you will be required to see a CS here in the States for them to complete the I-693 which will be needed in the absence of the DS-3025. Cost for that can run anywhere from $65 to $250. So shop around. Mmmm. I'm still not convinced that your saving any money but I am keeping an open mind.

I bet sometimes it feels like one step forward and two steps backward. Can't imagine why a Embassy employee would say such a thing. Well, I know that this is just a hiccup and you will get through it. Congratulations. The hard part is behind you. Brighter days are ahead.

That thought crossed my mind.  It will certainly make getting a quick appointment challenging.

Well I saved money getting the vaccines before the medical. If I would have got the vaccines yesterday at the medical, it would have been as expensive. They're giving me the results tomorrow in a sealed package I have to take to the interview. I won't know if the form is there.

Hey everyone,

Was wondering...

On the DS-160 it asks for my Fiancee national ID number. She is from Colombia but lives in Chile (is a permanent resident). Should she put her Chilean National ID or Colombian National ID.

Thanks!

I think it depends on what country she will interview in will be the one she uses but I'm sure @Greenbaum will confirm

I was thinking the same thing. Makes sense to me. Just hope it makes sense to the US Embassy 😁
