I thought Manafort was supposed to flip on Trump. How did that work out? I'm sure if he had anything he would have used it to stay out of jail.

as trump proclaims manafort is a great man who was so brave and did not break under pressure, cohen is not an attorney trump would recommend. good stuff.

Because he did make any deals or attempt to make any deals before he was found guilty. Usually deal are made before trial not after.

So these were guilty pleas related to Russian collusion and the Trump campaign?  I think I missed something.

 

Btw, I think losing one's job and pension might be significant, and these firings were directly related to the swamp the last administration created.

Elaborate please.  How were either of these actions tied to the Trump campaign and Russian collusion?  Heck, the clearly biased NPR article made it sound like Trump and Manafort were tied at the hip, I think Manafort worked for the campaign for what 3 months.  As to Cohen, sure, he was a fixer and he used his own money to pay off some mistresses and they categorized it as an illegal campaign contribution.  At least he didn't denigrate the women like some other 2016 presidential candidate did once-upon-a-time.

Again how do you know that Manafort did not say something? 

Plenty of people talk to authorities without cutting deals.

I like the simple version as stated below....but honestly, the news of our nations current politics is like binge watching a Netflix series with 10 different seasons. The first two seasons you are super into it.. then the story gets repetitive and just drags on with no real plot or outcomes.... 

 

Why?

Because yesterday, he pleaded guilty to multiple counts of violating campaign finance law, tax evasion, and bank fraud. The latter two are personal problems. But the campaign finance violation is where Trump comes in.

How?

Remember Stormy Daniels? She's the porn star who claims to have had an affair with Trump. And who Cohen paid $130,000 to so she'd keep quiet about it. Yesterday, Cohen told the court 'Trump made me do it.' Something Trump has denied in the past. Cohen also admitted to paying to make a story about another alleged Trump affair go away. And said he did these things "for the principal purpose of influencing the election."
