Hello,

Would you please help me to renew my parents' visitor visa?

1) What is the procedure to renew visitor visa B1/B2? (They received visa in Nov-2007)
2) What documents do they need to submit to US Consulate if I am sponsor?
3) I am going to be a sponsor. What documents they need from me?
4) Shall I gather all documents and send them? And then start their application?

I appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Montu

You need to check the us embassy in India website. I believe there may be an interview waiver for repeat applicants for the same type of visa in India. This is not the case at all embassies.

you can’t sponsor a visitor visa by the way. They get the visa as long as the officer thinks they will return to India.  Be aware that if you emigrated to the US after they got the last visa (judging by dates and your profile) it may affect the application negatively.

Hi,

You don't do anything for your mother's visitor visa. It is a huge misconception that visitor visas can be sponsored. The only thing you can do is help your mother fill out the application.

1. Here is the process for renewals in India. http://www.ustraveldocs.com/in/in-niv-visarenew.asp

2. You don't sponsor. There are no documents you provide

3. Same as 2. No sponsorship

4. Same as 2 and 3. You don't provide documents. Only your mother.

They apply for the visa. They may not get an interview if they timely file for the renewal and nothing negative comes up. There's no actions or documents or anything provided by you...as noted, you cannot sponsor a tourist. They must qualify on their own merits.

As noted above, your parents apply.. the process is application for a new visa. There is no "renewal".  Google US embassy, (city in India).

Absolutely nothing you do from the US (other than help fill out the ds160), no documents to send (they're NOT looked at thus a waste of time). Your divorce/i751 may come up if they're called for an interview, assuming no interview waiver. And bears repeating no sponsorship for a b2 visa.

I-751 journey

10/16/2017.......... ROC package mailed

10/18/2017.......... I-751 package received VSC

10/19/2017.......... I-797 NOA date

10/30/2017.......... Notice received in mail

10/30/2017.......... Check cashed

11/02/2017.......... Conditional GC expired

11/22/2017.......... Biometrics completed

  xx/xx/xxxx.......... waiting waiting waiting
