Three notifications from USCIS today, EAD & AP approved, and EAD card in production! Yay! 😀

Got the i-797 approval notices in the mail today, hopefully the card will follow soon.

For what it's worth to anyone wondering, the eGov tracker is still showing 'Case was Received', while the DHS tracker is showing 'Case was Approved', so bear in mind the different trackers can show different statuses.

So funny-slash-annoying story happened to me:

Hubby and I filed the 485, 130, 765, and 131 in a comprehensive package all together, and all were received by July 11. On July 26, I got a notice for the fingerprint fee being received. All were accepted except for one, the 131, which was rejected due to incorrect filing fee (supposed to be 0.00, because of the pending 485). Best guess is while leafing through my packet, they misplaced the 131.

After a back and forth with the agents on the hotline, and 2 failed attempts at resubmitting, I was finally successful in September, which put my travel plans in grave danger. (We were supposed to travel to the Philippines for Christmas) We ended up cancelling our plans, and then the thing gets approved on Nov. 15 after less than two months while everything else has not moved from case was received and finger print fee was received. 145 days and counting...

EAD arrived Thursday last week, which is a big step forward! Now settling in for the long wait for an interview date.

When my card shipped, the eGov tracker updated with a USPS tracking number, which was really useful to prevent me from obsessively checking the mailbox :)

Hopefully everyone else here has been receiving their cards, too...

I doubt I’m getting my EAD before Christmas with a 7/30 pd, I’ve heard that a lot of officers are on vacation right now...

at at least no one has gone for the state gov health job that I want for the past 3 months, I doubt anyone will submit anything during holiday season.

Gotta stay hopeful!

A USA citizenship applicant who was born in Taiwan may indicate Taiwan as the country of birth on their Form N-400 if he or she shows supporting evidence. Such applicants’ Certificates of Citizenship are issued showing Taiwan as country of birth. USCIS does not issue certificates showing “Taiwan, PRC,” “Taiwan, China,” “Taiwan, Republic of China,” or “Taiwan, ROC.” People’s Republic of China (PRC) is the country name used for applicants born in the PRC. It definitely could happen, I'm sure you won't be waiting much longer in any case!

I'd probably apply for the job anyway - when you get an offer, you could use it to expedite your EAD application...

Always get a job offer before asking for expedition. If you don't have one, they prolly consider you don't need it.

Whoa. Woke up with a very unexpected update from USCIS this morning: Interview Was Scheduled. I guess I'll find out when it is in the next few days!

It seems extremely quick especially given as cases at the Seattle office seem to take much longer than average. Don't lose hope people!

I'll keep you all posted!

Honolulu office (mine) seems to have the same processing times as Seattle, that just gave me hope!

I really miss animals and medicine WHERES MY EAD?? Hubby wants me to play safe and wait for ead before applying for a lot of reasons. We’re at a small town place where ppl hear FINGERPRINTS, they look all scared and go “why do they want your fingerprints??”

Because they know it's the time your life is in control of the govt.
