I was on the same situation until yesterday when I got a biometric letter in the mail. Keep in mind that it depends on avaibility of your local ASC. If your local ASC is busy it should take longer for them to send you a biometric letter. 

 

I will be out of the country on my appointment date. Does anyone have any experience with early walk-in VERSUS rescheduling the appointment ? Does I take too long for them to reschedule it ?

We were out of state Friday for hubbys biometric appointment...we mailed it in to reschedule as he was to stubborn to just try a walk in 🙄 now I’m worried if they didn’t get it in time and assume we abandoned the application 🥺

We did a walk in at Tampa for the same reason.  No problem!

My friend rescheduled his bfore cuz he wasnt aware that he can easily walk-in with valid reason..they acknowledge the request after a month and got resked after 6mos..caused delays to his case :(

just FYI, I tried to do a walk-in a day before my appointment since it was my day off and I explained how hard it is for me to go on scheduled day. but they didn't let me in and they said this office is so restricted about scheduled days. I guess it all depends on the office, most let you do it. but my local office doesn't.

What does code 5 means? I got my biometrics letter today after it says on website that they reviewed it March 11. Crossing my fingers and praying praying to God that this is all good news.

My wife hasn't received a new biometrics email either (after receiving one in March saying they'll re-use her previous ones). Her application was initially at CSC, but got transferred to the Potomac Service Center in early June. Haven't heard a thing since.

ROC:

7/2/18 - ROC packet (I-751) sent

7/5/18 - USCIS CSC received

7/13/18 - NOA (I-797) notice date

7/17/18 - $680 check cashed

7/20/18 - NOA (I-797) received

3/11/19 - Biometrics reused

6/4/19 - Case transferred to Potomac Service Center  

10/9/19 - New Card Is Being Produced / Approved

10/11/19 - Card Was Mailed To Me

What does code 5 means? I got my biometrics letter today after it says on website that they reviewed it March 11. Crossing my fingers and praying praying to God that this is all good news.

Jan 23, 2017: Interview...Approved!

Received Welcome Letter - i797 AOS approval: 09/09/2016 - filed paperwork in married name approval came in maiden - apparently USCIS saw fit to just add the name they wanted and not filed...
