@Dbkrantzthis is only a guess but it might actually be good news for you, in that if you are in one of the busier NY area field offices (like Brooklyn) maybe they transferred you to Queens where processing times are way lower.  I have always wondered why they don't do this anyway; seems to make no sense that people in certain boroughs of NYC have to wait longer than others, they should just balance the resources.

I posted this in the NYC thread yesterday to give an idea; processing times as of now on USCIS website:

Long Island:  7 months median

Brooklyn:  14.5 months median

NYC (I guess excluding Queens & BK) 13 months median

Queens: 11.5 months media

We received a notification that an action was taken on our case but it's just to let us know that our application was "transferred to another field office for review" because they are taking too long. ####### does that mean?? I've never heard of that.

I had my interview today in Nashville and it was pretty straight forward. It only took about 5 minutes and the immigration officer was very friendly. The use of tablets for the English writing test is a bit awkward as I usually rest my hand on paper when I write but I managed a legible sentence and passed the interview. Now I'm inline for the Oath Ceremony so it's just a case of waiting. My USCIS account status hasn't updated yet when I do a search on the USCIS site it has so they're out of sync again, I'll just have to keep an eye on both.

I had my interview on April 16th and was place inline for oath ceremony. My friend gave her citizenship interview in Jan and completed her oath ceremony in March in Nashville. Looks like there is a oath ceremony every 2 months in Nashville.

Oh, if they have to give 30 days notice before the oath that probably means we're too late for May and will probably end up in the July batch. That pretty much lines up with the estimate My USCIS account gave me all along but I was hoping it would be sooner.

Thanks. It's crazy that it takes them so long to schedule people, you'd think they'd know the number of spaces they have and know the order of when people have had their interviews so should just be able to schedule them right away but by the looks of things Nashville takes about 6 weeks to schedule people. It's annoying not being able to plan anything this summer as I don't know when I'll have to be in Nashville.

We got our interview in Atlanta notification!! Filed online on the 4th of July, 2018 (fitting), notification letter sent 4/10/19 with an interview on 5/16/19. We feel like this has been fast for Atlanta as they are struggling with personnel changes/shortages.

Hi pherNer! Our interview is May 21st with pending I-751. I wonder hos they going to process that in ATL. Don't know if its going to be combo or straight up n400. Will be looking forward to your good news since you up before us. Keep us posted

My I-751 is pending and waiting for N-400 interview. Upon inquiry to USCIS my I-751 and N-400 will be process at the same time. After marriage my wife changed her last name and removes her middle name in SSN, Voter id and all the documents. She applied for change in her naturalization certificate and USCIS change her last name and didn’t remove her middle name. When she requests them to remove her middle name, they said brings the court document affidavit and then applies again.

But they didn’t send the original naturalization certificate. She has only scan copy of naturalization certificate. Now she is going to apply for returning of original certificate.

My question: In my I-751 and N-400 interview, They ask the original naturalization certificate of wife ?

If yes since it is with USCIS what I am going to say for that?

Why would they ask for that? Although I applied based on the 5 year rule I came over on CR-1 and they never asked for my wife's birth certificate in either the the I-751 or the N-400 interview as that is evidence that was provided in the initial visa application, not sure why they'd want that again as it wouldn't have changed.

Looking at the timelines it seems to be about 1-2 months.

My I-751 ( July 2017 ) and N-400 ( August – 2018) both are pending. Most likely interview will be combo. At the time of arrival in US, My age is 31. My question is:

Is any proof required for Selective Service registration as my first arrival in US is at age 31 ?

No, they never even asked me about it and I was 26 when I arrived so I'd just missed the cutoff.
