June 20th/25th NOA1 here and still no updates from USCIS, processing via California. She is German and we have a clean-cut application. Do you think we should call and ask for an update or just wait it out? We are hoping to hear back very soon!

Your close to your NOA2. Time line is 6-8 months for adjudication of your application and you just past 6 months. So the recommendation is continue to wait. I think sometime in January you'll be approved. Your mileage may vary.

Can you please complete your profile. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

Hello June filers,

After 204 days from our NOA1 we received an update 26th of December below that our case has been transferred.  Hopefully this won’t delay the processing time 😞

Can anyone offer an insight what “completed a preliminary review” means?

Thank you in advance.

Seems they are moving your case from California to Vermont. Maybe because California is so behind with 129-f's. I don't gather from what they said that there is anything out of the ordinary that would cause you to be concerned.

We are at 194 days today. Zero information.  Maybe Vermont will be better.

Ugh.  Received an RFE in the mail while I was out of the country.  Online status never changed.

They aren't accepting the standard Brazilian proof of divorce, which is the certificate of marriage with an addendum regarding the final decree of divorce.  When I check the list of documents on the Brazil reciprocity schedule (https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/Brazil.html) the document I sent is listed as an alternative document.

Currently on the phone with USCIS on hold.  Any advice?

I-129F packet sent = 06/15/2018

I-129F NOA1 = 06/21/2018

RFE = 12/19/2018

RFE response = 01/12/2019

I-129F NOA2 = 01/19/2019

NVC received = 02/14/2019 ♥️

Embassy received = 03/07/2019

Interview = 05/07/2019  Requested more documents.  Returned beneficiary's passport to him. Submitted documents 6/3/19. Email received saying they were received.

Emailed Consulate = 08/02/2019 asking about visa. Received email stating they had never received the documents. Sent documents again.

Phone call from consulate = 08/07/2019 saying they were approving the visa. Fiancé has to send them his passport.

Passport returned to consulate (in person) =

Visa received = 09/05/2019

Entry into USA = 10/24/2019

Married = 11/23/2019

AOS sent =

Well, they have the gold so they get to make the rules. I recommend that you get the document they are looking for and then I would send a printed page to the reciprocity schedule and highlight the listed alternative document. Seems the gatekeeper is keeping you from moving forward till you do as they say. Calling won't change anything because you are talking to a "phone agent" who has scripts to read and the one who is adjudicating your case is the gatekeeper.
