What's a way to prove income without pay stubs?

Hello!

I've looked on this site for an alternative for pay stubs but couldn't find any. My husband works three jobs, one job he receives pay stubs from but the issue is the other two jobs. His other two employers send him money directly to his bank account, what's an official way to prove that? I received a RFE letter and I want to do this right. He already has a letter of employment from all of them but they also requested pay stubs or other documentation.

Thank you in advance!

Those employers are required to send him w-1099

He has that too and we're planning to send it with everything. Is that considered proof? I'd still would like to add the equivalent of pay stubs, I just can't find any information about what they mean by "pay stubs or other documents"

By your own admission, there are no paystubs.  1099 is issued in cases like this for tax purposes. It is acceptable proof of income.

How long has he been employed at these positions? If paired with the 1099s and employment letters he could also submit his tax transcripts from previous years. I believe those would be helpful if it shows that he's working at those jobs and how much he made.

I would check with the employer just in case. Some may not give them automatically but produce them on demand. A lot of states have a requirement that companies make them available to employees. In my state they must always be available. Other states they may not have to give them with every check but they have to be made available when requested.

Self-employment income would be reported on the tax returns, which is what the IO will look for with regard to those income sources.

Does he pay estimated taxes? Those documents could also be beneficial.

He is IC and they gave him a 1099 so he is required to pay taxes to the IRS.

You are absolutely correct. My apologies. I misread the post.

Also sorry I didn't add that they are supposed to file taxes on the 1099 because they will owe taxes not a if but will. I knew a guy who got paid by time warner by 1099 and didn't file for 3 years, he ended up owing almost $10k in taxes. The company doesn't pay taxes on 1099 employees so the employees are supposed to pay the taxes out of the money they receive. No apologies needed.

Edit. Just a FYI almost all the telecomm repair workers with TWC, Charter, Comcast, and Satellite companies are 1099.

My husband's self-employed. Some clients give him 1099's and some don't (they pay cash or credit card). He has his own invoices that he sends to them so we provided those with our I-864. They did the trick because my EAD got approved. You could also print out his bank statements and highlight the deposits from his jobs to show regular deposits/income.

He has been working for two of them for almost a year. The one issue is that he started working for the third job in the beginning of this year so he hasn't received 1099s yet, he got an employment letter from him and i'm going to use the other user's advice on highlighting the deposits on bank statements. Do you know if I can add something else with it?

An employment letter should show how much he is making and how often (ie $2,000 every 2 weeks). Then the bank account statements (provide the last 6) should show this exact deposit. That should be enough.
