Well, case still stuck at NVC since May 30th. Anyone else still waiting forever for their case to be shipped to the embassy?

I wanna trust the system but this is ridiculous.

By stuck at NVC do you mean that the status states Received/In Progress or In Transit? Mine changed to In Transit last week Tuesday and still remains that way today. Do these applications actually get hard copy mailed to the Consulates?? OR does this In Transit all deal with electronic filing?

I am not too sure... some are electronically, some are physical hard copies.

I remember someone at this thread called and asked whether the embassy has received the case. The embassy replied that they have received the electronic version but still waiting for hard copies..

So it is really hard to say unless we can really talk to someone who works at embassy. And I think different embassies do things in different ways.

My case says "At NVC".  I was told that the cases are sent both electronic and hard copy.  At this point I'm begging for "in transit"... waaaaaaahhh

Fiance interview is soon so we're just looking over all of our stuff. On the affidavit of support on part 3 question 38. I checked "I intend" and on page 7 for additional information I wrote on 3.d. (N/A K-1 Visa Process for permanent residence) should I write more or is that okay?

I've seen different answers for this.

I took that question as stating that you were going to be giving him a certain amount of money on a specific cadence so I selected No.

My was electronically done, and it took two Days and it says ready.

But when I called the embassy for packet 3 they said they haven't received my physical file yet they just have it electronically sent to them.

Maybe some embassies might have received your case from nvc electronically but still expecting the physical file.

So in that case they will tell you they haven't received it waiting for both electronically and physical file to be ready.

How long did it take from the embassy saying they didn't receive the physical copy to them actually receiving it, for you to be able to schedule your medical and interview date.

Is it possible to expedite the interview at the embassy stage? If so, does anyone know how and what circumstances they will expedite for?

I believe the only way would be touching base via email on the particular Embassy once the Case is in Ready status in order to relay the situation and see how soon they would be able to get you in for an interview.

Okay thanks.

Did anyone else check "I intend" and explain why?

Well after I saw ready and the embassy confirm that they have my case electronically......I went ahead to schedule my interview and carry out my medicals.

I other for them to send me packet 3 they will need to receive my physical file which can take up to 1-5 day from DHL.

So within the three weeks before my interview my packet will be sent to me and then am good to go.
