We filed our AOS and EAD last Thursday decided not to file AP as if something urgent comes up my sister can deal with it or we can file later and it’s not worth the risk to us of me not getting back in. It’s sat in a lockbox in Chicago waiting to be collected tomorrow hopefully. 

The AOS wait makes the k1 wait we had look tiny. Mildly frustrating the k1 has sped up now. I think dear Aprilettes of 2018 we are in a glut!! 

So as I’ve been part of this journey with you all let’s keep our stories going, if you’ve filed when did you and what’s your field office timescale? OKC is 14 to 20.5 months for AOS currently.

Wow, just been catching up on my April 2018 friends status on here from Jan onwards and reading your difficulties, but seeing the wedding pic in your profile, so knew it eventually got sorted.. That was horrendous to go through, and its sounds like admin incompetence if a call from the senator triggered it to move to issued.

So we filed for AOS, EAD and AP in March - Dallas office.  Fingerprints done, so now the wait for Travel/Work in Aug/Sept.  Will do a trip back to Ireland then.  

Meanwhile, also been sourcing Irish food stores in Cali and elsewhere.  Will go look on Amazon.  Breakfast tea is important!

 

Other things I have to adjust to:

* develop a taste for iced tea,

* temperatures in the 30s,

* but expressing them in Fs, 

* tornado warnings

* aggressive lane-changing on the freeway

* but give way to any auld pedestrian wandering about on city streets

* rating my bank teller after service

* rating everything as AWESOME 10/10.  8/10 is a BAD score!
