I have seen some many April filers got your EAD, congratulations!

I really want to know how is your job hunting? Is it easy to get jobs with your EAD? What kinds of job? If you don’t mind, please share how you get the job.

I just graduated last year, I don’t really have a skill. I am worried that it might be hard to get jobs, my first language is not English. I can speak English fluently but still not as good as native.

Hi guys,

Today my status changed to "New Card Is Being Produced" for EAD but it showed "Name Was Updated" for AP. Is it normal? I thought AP and EAD are the combo card.... Do I get one card that serves as both EAD and AP?  Do I have to worry that my AP is not "being produced"? (I filed them together)

Thank you!

EAD and AP is combo card. My AP status didn't change on online. But I received approval letter of AP and EAD on mailbox before I received actual combo card. I think you don't need to worry.

Advice Please🙏😣

We messed up on the 765 paperwork and had to withdraw the application or face it being rejected by USCIS. 😖

Going to just wait for AOS to be approved.

Does anyone know how long will the green card to work with the AOS form be valid for?

We got an RFE for AOS today and will send (again) what they say they need.

.... at least someone has touched the 485🙂

Also, We mailed the AOS to Chicago Illinois but when you go to the website to check processing times it has a bunch of processing centers and I don’t know which one I’m supposed to be looking at.

Please check my timeline below.

Social Security Administration approves and sends one.  USCIS approves and sends the other. Different agencies, different envelopes.

Your conditional green card is valid for 2 years after it's issued.  After that, you should be filing removal of conditions to get your 10-year green card - so, you'll always be authorized to work with a valid green card.  It sounds like you might be confusing the terms: adjustment of status = receiving your green card (you're 'adjusting status' to permanent residency).

Your 485 goes to the Chicago lockbox, and will be sent to your local office once they're ready - this is why you see all the local offices listed for processing times.  If you're located in Phoenix, you should be looking at their processing times for the 485.

Out of curiosity, what was the problem with your 765?

For those who got RFE on 485,  how many days until you got the RFE letter from USCIS please?

It only took a couple days to get in the mail-very fast.

We messed up on the c9 catagory and when we tried to fix it the Tier two on the phone heard my husband and I talking and no joke, flipped out and said the person e was talking to should not be talking to anyone else and that he was denying the case.

It was awful😞

What did you sent ? The CD? I got a CD after my medical but wasn’t aware I had to send that in.

We had his medical done before we came to the US but I read that we needed to see a civil surgeon also in the US so we went to one - got more shots etc and mailed in the sealed envelope they gave us.

I have a few questions though. I filed in April, priority date April 9. Last Monday (August 27) I called to expedite my I-765 because I had an interview on the 29th. The lady went through the motions and I got a T1DxxxxxxxxxxMSC reference number. It didn't take till the 30th for them to update my USCIS case tracker profile to "request has been completed." Thing is, I now feel it was unnecessary to start the expedition process given that my PD is almost about to start receiving their EADs. My questions are: does this affect my timeline of receiving my EAD as compared to letting it happen organically, and if it does can I cancel the process of expediting the EAD
