My question is, what is administrative processing at the NVC?

Where NVC does additional checks of your case. Were you told that's what is going on with your case? People have been told AP doesn't happen for fiancé visas, only marriage ones but I have no idea.

me..

Let me know when you call again today what they say! It seems from what I've read they assign case #s in the morning. I haven't seen anyone say they got theirs in the afternoon but I haven't asked too many people haha

No, there's many that don't get online updates.

Finally got medical sorted out, it isn't the answer we hoped for, but we have to accept that (the closest place is a 20 hour drive :( )

How much time are you all giving between your medical and interview dates (or estimated interviews)? We're doing the medical 4/25 and hoping for an interview around 5/14, but we have to have the medical info shipped out to FH's address between those dates.. Hopefully we aren't too crazy :P

Out of impatience and a gut feeling, I called NVC. Just got off the phone about a minute ago, and we have our case number! :D(L)

Not sure on the received date, because Monday when I called they "didn't have it," but they assigned us a number yesterday.

But NOA2: 8 March

NVC Number: 22 March

My NOA2 is dated March 14, but still shows "case received" online.  If I understand correctly, you won't see any updates on the USCIS app or online after NOA2.  It just shows the process from NOA1 to NOA2.  So, if it hasn't updated, it probably never will. - Jason

People have gotten their case numbers within a week of them being received by NVC. I would def. suggest calling today. Let me know what they say if you do call!

Ohhh I see your NOA2 date is 3/16. I'm talking about NVC receiving the case on 3/16. My NOA2 date is 2/27.

Omg, I completely missed the NVC received date part. My bad. You got me excited though. I almost got out of bed to make the call. Hehe. I'll hang back a bit though. We are not in the biggest hurry as we live together abroad. I feel for everyone that is not with the fiancé(e). I really hope that everybody has a smooth ride from here on out! Make it rain case numbers NVC

Just called the NVC and they received my case today!  Only took 9 days from NOA2!!!  No case number yet, but she invited me to call daily until one was assigned.

On a related note, the staff at NVC are so much more pleasant to speak to than the USCIS staff. :D

Thanks! Just something else, how do we know what doctor to go to and is there a specific form he needs to bring or have filled out??

That depends on the embassy/country. I only know the info for London. There are sub forums on here for many specific embassys/consulates. That's how I found all of our info. London only has one doctors office that can do the medical and there is a medical questionnaire for London that you have to fill out and bring with you. Anyone on this forum going through Canada and can help them out? :)
