Hello ^_^ I am a September filer and I'm assuming we will be getting our NOA2 in the next month - to month and a half. I'm currently in the UK with my fiancee therefore I can't earn any income as of right now (but by AOS I will definitely be earning my own income).

I'm going to ask my mom to get the I-134 started so I know we will get it in good timing. What documents are needed for the London interview exactly? I've read that tax transcripts and letter of employment are good enough but is there anything else I could ask for just in case? Also will I only need a birth certificate for proof of citizenship? And I've read that London are very accepting of co-sponsors, is that correct?

Thank you B-)

In general, a K-1 applicant should bring the petitioner's I-134 + all supporting evidence of that income (i.e. pay stubs, employment letter, and the most recent year's tax return). If using a co sponsor, then they should also bring their I-134 + sup[porting evidence.

London has historically been quite lenient here, approving applicants using only an employment letter as evidence of income. They also historically did not ask for an I-134 from the petitioner (in addition to the one from the co sponsor).

That said, there have been a few reports over the past week or so of people being asked for an I-134 from the petitioner as well, and one case where the employment letter alone was insufficient. As such, I suggest bringing an I-134 from both the petitioner and co sponsor, and having all supporting evidence of that income for each I-134. You may not need it and those cases may or may not have been oddballs, but it's better to have it and not need it than to get a 221g and have to send it later and wait longer.

@geowrian thank you for your feedback ^_^
Since I currently have no income, I only submit the I-134 and no additional evidence correct? I was a student therefore I've never had an 'actual' job and have never filed taxes or anything. The only person I'll need the financial evidence from is the co-sponsor?

PS London allows you to self sponsor, seems the amount you would need is good for 90 days living expenses.

Correct. Although you technically should have a signed letter stating that you were not required to file taxes for the most recent tax year since you didn't have enough income to be required to file. I doubt they would be that picky with this at London, though. It will be required for AOS, however.

And yes, the visa applicant can self sponsor in London via sufficient assets. This is at the CO's discretion (as is any public charge decision).

You do not need to prove your citizenship to the interviewer, but if you plan to go to the interview with your fiancé, then you should take your passport as ID to get in. Also there is a London form online for your fiancé to request your attendance at the interview. (This comes after interview is booked.)

Sorry for the delay...moved into a new place this weekend. :)

With London, they can self-sponsor via assets. There is no exact amount needed as it is a judgement call by the CO, but generally enough for the 90 days of expenses at a bare minimum....the more, the better.
