I do not know if that is correlated to the inquiry that I had sent or not. 

Would it be a better idea to wait till after my husbands biometrics to submit an inquiry then?

I would. I had my biometrics on 2/21/2018.  The message "bug" came out on the 26th.  Wait until you get a message that they have received the biometrics, then submit the inquiry on the I-751 , following the instructions of the transfer message.  Good luck!  :)

Hmm, I hadn't caught that. All I did was click a link in that bug message, a link highlighted which took me right to where you fill in your info.  Heck, if you have been waiting a long time for his I-751, by all means give it a try...it sure can't hurt!

cganesh, I know when we got our notice for biometrics, we got the "you've got an appointment" email on a Friday, and the online copy posted on Monday night.  We got the hard-copy on Thursday after that.

 

So I would guess about 3 business days from the day you got the "You've got an interview" message.  Let us know how it plays out!

Only slowed down in the beginning since it takes a couple days for your packet to go through the mail stream then be scanned into the computer. After you get your biometrics notice it should go the same speed as the online filings. All paper filed packets are scanned in and converted to IOE like the online filings.

Most of us think the answer is "yes".  If I read between the lines, if you mail your application in, it has to be scanned into the system, and then the physical paperwork is transferred to a storage facility.  So one who mails in an application becomes dependent upon the workload at the center where you mailed it in.  I don't think it makes a difference other than being a week to 10 days behind because of the physical handling.

 

Anyone else have any thoughts?
