Oprah should try running for office in a smaller capacity first to prove if she can actually translate any skills she may have into leadership. It's one thing to have good communication skills, and quite another to have effective qualities to lead. Reagan may have been the ''great communicator'' and an actor but at least he did hold prior political office before becoming POTUS.

Might be the smart move, but do you expect the DNC to pass on her if she decides to run regardless?

i think we need to be moving away from celebrity presidents. doesn't seem like that's going to happen. thanks reality tv for ruining life.

She already had a TV show and is a billionaire, so no need for her to do that.

No idea. Do they have anyone better? I'm not a fan of celebrities deciding to run for President. They mostly only have communication skills and nothing else. Oprah is a smart woman, she could possibly translate something into a successful run for some office. But I believe a person should be qualified in some capacity to be President.  Trump has changed those standards hasn't he? So watch out... we could have our own President Kardashian.

But.... you've got to credit something to Trump - he's done a lot for more literacy in America, by selling copies of Fire and Fury..

I am fine with Oprah running, but I wonder if she will be vetted by a number of other DNC candidates, or if she will just get the nomination by acclamation?
