Hi NJ filers,

I had an interview on April 22nd (last month) at Mt Laurel and could not be approved due not enough proof of address (recently moved to Jersey from Florida) and an RFE was issued to which I immediately replied. I woke up today with great news that my N400 was approved and the Oath Ceremony will be scheduled.

Since NJ do daily oath ceremonies I wonder how long will it take till I have a ceremony? Since this is extra bureaucracy I worry it'll be too long.

Anyone on the same boat?

My wife is in a similar situation. She attended her interview Feb 21st in Newark and was told to go home and wait for an RFE - but we never received one. Now three months after, on May 22nd her online status changed to "Request for Evidence Cancelled" and then "We approved your application". She's so fed up that she doesn't really care how much longer this is gonna take now...

Have you received the oath ceremony notice yet?

Glad to stumble upon this thread for the Newark USCIS office. We applied for N's citizenship online earlier this week. We have a pending I-751 too, which has no change since biometrics were done last July. The system says completion by Feb 2020

Got a notice that my interview had been scheduled for 09/05. I thought I would have one in November as per the timeline provided on the USCIS website. Now I have to reschedule it since I'm due with peanut #2 on 09/03...

My wife was just scheduled for her interview at Newark...on Saturday, Sept 28. Definitely makes things easier in some ways as no one needs to miss work and we won't have to deal with rush hour traffic, though we won't have childcare so will be carting around our toddler.

Does anyone know if the Newark office does same-day oath ceremonies on Saturdays as well?

Application was end-January 2019. Based on timelines it looks like they're taking about 8 months between application and interview right now, and I estimated at least a couple of months ago that the interview would be sometime around September-early October. If that holds up I would estimate December-January for you. (though it can always change for the better or worse!)
