Do you have any travel experience on AP? Is that safe to come back or immigration officer may create some troubles? I have plan to go back for 2 months.

No, not yet. But leaving for two months is quite long. I would not leave for that long if possible, unless your wife/husband is traveling with you at least part of the trip.

Anybody else here waiting for their I-485 interview schedule who is from the Bay Area in California? I'm under the San Francisco field office.

I know some October filers who were already interviewed and had their cases approved but from SoCal. My case status hasn't updated at all...still fingerprint fee received 😅😅😅

To those waiting for their EAD, i would suggest to already try looking for jobs and have your interviews. The hiring process takes a long time almost a month. Put your resumes out there and be patient! Employers' response vary though, depending on their need. Some get back to you a week, some in a couple of months! Then there is the interview and if you're fortunate you get hired. Then comes the long part which is the background check and all their other requirements. So don't expect to start working immediately after you get EAD. Just setting expectations for those still waiting. 😄

Congratz. I also got notification today that my EAD is being produced but no notification about AP. Do you know USCIS send one notification for both(EAD/AP) or  i should wait for separate notification? Is there any chances of refusal notification? I am just upset why USCIS send me only notice for EAD.

I didn’t get any kind of notification or update in case tracker, I just got the combo card in the mail and about a week later I received the “notification of approval” it is weird. Any of My cases have been updated online!

Also, another thing related to jobs. I was recently contacted by a recruiting agency, asking about my application for a job they posted. In the end I didn't get a chance to interview because this agency only works with GC or citizenship holders (they really didn't care about my work authorization). And I was so focused on and excited about getting my EAD, thinking that it'd solve all my problems...

I really don't think this is legal. I don't have time to research it right now but please do it yourself or even talk to a lawyer if you can. Some of them have free consultations. Or call USCIS and ask.

I don't think it's legal either, but it seems that it's happened to other people before. I'm guessing it's just due to employers' and recruiters' ignorance and lack of understanding of our status. He did pry about whether I have a green card or not, but next time I'll definitely be more careful about how I share information about my status. It really shocked me that this was an issue, I thought the EAD would unlock all doors

The thing that scares people off from the EAD is that it's only valid for a year. In my experience most recruiters aren't familiar with the whole Adjustment of Status process.

Hey everyone, I am a Nov 1st filler! Received an interview notice in the mail a couple of days ago for March 6th, but not heard a thing about my EAD/AP card. Starting to think I may receive my GC before the combo card! Has anyone else has this happen?

You likely will have your GC before the EAD/AP.

EAD/AP is taking about five months at the minute.
