Me too! My husband is very ready to work and we could definitely use the money!

He's had a job since he was 15, so this is the longest he has ever not worked and it's driving him crazy. We did go and have him take his GED a few days ago so that he would have a high school equivalency diploma here. We're not sure how many of his welding certifications will transfer, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. There's a company that is hiring 30 minutes away from us, and he has almost a guaranteed "in". This is getting frustrating to us, and I am sure to everyone else still waiting as well! :P They ought to issue the work permits automatically with the K1's like they used to.

Agreed, I thought the whole point of the K1 was to make the adjustment easier. Oh well!

just  quick update. so the ssn card i received as part of my ead application was missing my middle name. i guess USCIS did not fill that field out when they passed along my info to the SSA? who knows. which is a bummer since i requested the new card on the ead form so that i would not have to make a trip to the SSA office.

anyway i have no choice because i did not want to leave this uncorrected (although it probably is not a big deal). so off i went to the SSA two days ago to request for a correction. took about an hour including the waiting time (i did let others who clearly where going to work after jump the queue ahead of me). the SS officer just wanted to see my EAD and my passport to verify the spelling and the process was pretty straightforward. they took my SSN card though and stamped it "VOIDED" and kept it and then told me the new card will be mailed to me in 2 weeks. i bet it will be here before then.

Any other Oct 27th filers still waiting? At 92 days and counting now... put in a service request online two days ago and the email said to expect a response in two weeks, but the lady I talked to at USCIS today said to wait a month? This is getting really frustrating. :(

Oh I didn't know you could put in a inquiry online. Just did it for my case(NOA1 Nov 2nd) and they say I should have a response by Feb 17th... Sigh this is so frustrating.

Sad part is, they didn't have receptionist that could have turned me down wihtout having to wait for almost 2 hours only to be told by the representative that she can't process my new SSA application.

10/4/17 is my receipt date for I-765.

I called USCIS today and requested Tier 2 Officer. 23 minutes later I got a call back.

They said I am within normal processing times and they are processing as of 6/30/17 reflecting USCIS site. I requested SR but they said they have too many I cannot do it. Any advice?

Is phone SR more effective than online SR?

I just got a call in response to my sr and they told me 90 day rule was lifted my case is still being worked on they are only working June cases now so I have a few more months to wait!

USCIS is my nightmare after being in administrative processing for months after my interview then 8 week wait for marriage certificate now this I’m thoroughly disheartened. It’s not about the job or the travel but the process. We always seem to be in limbo

Got a notification from the case tracker last night that my EAD card is being produced. I never got an approval notification so it came as a surprise that they updated the tracker when the card is being produced.

Receive date: 11/27

Congratz. I also got notification today that my EAD is being produced but no notification about AP. Do you know USCIS send one notification for both(EAD/AP) or  i should wait for separate notification? Is there any chances of refusal notification? I am just upset why USCIS send me only notice for EAD.

Happy Monday October Filers!

We just received our interview notice from the San Jose office this weekend. It was a lot faster than expected as a lot of people who filed in October are still waiting for their EAD/AP. Here's our timeline:

10/18/17 - NOA for AOS and EAD

11/13/17 - Biometrics

11/24/17 - NOA for AP (We sent out our AP application after EAD but still received the combo card)

12/14/17 - EAD Approved

12/22/17 - EAD/AP Approved

12/30/17 - Received social security card (applied as part of AOS)

01/06/18 - Received Interview Notice for 02/02/18

For those who have not received their EAD/AP, hang in there. Should be any day now. Goodluck to all!

I received only one notification through email that my EAD card is being produced today but no notification about AP. Is this a normal thing or should i worry about my AP card?
