Well got an e-mail last night that has me confused. The embassy is saying there may be a delay in issuing her visa because of submission of a wrong DS-160? Are there multiple DS-160's to submit?

I am completely confused.

Ok in talking to her she filled out the DS-160 information on ustraveldocs, but failed to fill it out on CEAC first so it created a weird glitch. Have to get with the embassy to see what to do since they already did the interview and approved her. I am surprised that they figured it out a week after the interview.

that's bizarre that they are just catching it now.  But better than POE right??!!  I hope it's a quick fix!

Yeah we are both confused. She filled it out on CEAC and sent the receipt to the embassy. Hopefully they can link the two things up properly in there system since she already paid the fee and did the interview.

So we figured out fully how she did it. She had a student visa before. So she had a DS-160 she had filled out for that application that was linking to the old US travel docs information. So it let her change to her K1 and apply and do an interview without filling out the fresh DS-160. I am hoping that she doesn't have to repay any fees or redo anything.

Did they specify a reason for the the intent to deny at all? I'm really really sorry to hear this! At least its not a straight denial at this point, I'm hoping you are able to fix whatever they need. xx

lack of sufficient evidence. not sure why we weren't just given a RFE or why it took 225 days to get this to us.

You just have to show proof you met in person in the last two years. Not sure why it wasn't an RFE though. Typically you just need a photo or passport stamps/cover page information to prove you met. The bigger proof is at the interview stage. The whole thing seems odd.

So sorry to hear this. This is certainly very strange. Lack of evidence of meeting within the last 2 years is usually just an RFE. Hope this can be resolved.
