Even though I just received my NOA2 on September 19th, I admit that I have been calling the NVC everyday to check for a case #. I really want to know the case # ASAP so that we can get appointments scheduled!!! I think I've even talked to the same customer service representative 2x already. :/

Our case was received and number assigned on the same day which was exactly 2 weeks after NOA2, they kept giving me the same 6 weeks spiel and I just phoned a couple of times the first week and every day the second week.

When I've called they tell me that it can take up to 6 weeks, so I'm sure they are probably giving you the same story. :/

Well they've never told us about 6 weeks.

On Monday when we called and told them that its been a month already and they told us to send an email to NVCExpedite@state.gov with short details like names, DOB number of case. The answer we received states that we need to have quite important reasons to expedite our case (which we obviously don't have except for 30 days) so it doesn't work as well.

We will try to call again and reach supervisor.

It's so awful that I can't stop thinking about it, so I keep calling them back. I kind of feel sorry for them it must get very annoying for them. But hopefully they give me a case # soon so that I can stop calling..lol

Hey everyone, March filler's here.

Hope you won't mind me joining your thread as I guess soon I'll be the only one among Marchies waiting for NVC to release our case.

Our case stuck at NVC since August 25th and not moving anywhere.

We are calling and trying to find out smth but the only thing they are constantly saying is that everything looks ok and we just need to wait until regular AP will be finished.

As far as I know someone of you had the same situations or maybe still waiting to be released so anything you can advise would be much appreciated.

Its getting really tough after expecting NOA2 during 5 months.

Thank you in advance!

Wish everyone speed moving in the process and approvals approvals approvals! :)

Welcome, girl :)... though it would be better you didn't have that reason to be joining us.

Another one of the Aprilites that was on Administrative Processing at the NVC was released yesterday, also after being stuck there for a month... so I know I said this before, but any day now for you *fingers crossed*

Well yesterday morning Informed Delivery showed my NVC letter is coming. But it never showed up yesterday, and never showed up today. I had already called NVC on Monday or Tuesday and asked them to send me an email of the letter, but that hasn't shown up either. So close and yet so far. So I reported to USPS the missing mail, though I'm not too hopeful that will accomplish anything.

Anyone have any experience with Informed Delivery that might explain why this is happening, or maybe I'm just unlucky...

@amishbaby, lol yes that was long, but happy for you.  I didn't want to quote the whole thing.  The first email said that it was returning his passport?  I can only say what I have seen with those going thru the Philippines.  The package comes in a clear bag (for lack of a better word) and it has the Passport and another non-clear bag inside.  You are allowed to open the outside bag enough to get the passport out, but not the inner bag.  When was his Interview and Approval?

I'm just beginning to experiment with informed delivery, I think some items arrive the day image shows up or the day after (at least so far it has been the case for me.) For instance my NOA2 said Saturday and it did show up in the mail on Saturday- but I had a few other random pieces of mail arrive on different days. I think this is a relatively new system. At least its good to know that your NVC letter is coming! *Yay* if its missing, click the missing link! Give it a day or 2 before you report it!

Some mail naturally has a deliver date on it that gets scanned. So I have had stuff arrive a day before it is supposed to be delivered (junk), but it gets scanned because of size sometimes.

I just looked at the scan of the envelope that appears in my Informed Delivery, and at the USPS postage stamp area it says Sept. 26, which I assume is the date that the postage was applied. So maybe when they apply postage before putting in the mail it gets scanned, and you get Informed Delivery when it enters the USPS system, rather than when the day it arrives at the local facility for delivery.

At least that's what I'm hoping...
