Hey all, I got a copy of my vaccination record from work as i have to have immunisations for work ( being a nurse) does anyone know if these cover the vaccinations required for the US?

Check out the chart they've got here http://photos.state.gov/libraries/unitedkingdom/164203/cons-visa/iv018a_medical.pdf  (7th page). Hope that helps!

okay.. yea if you were to examine it logically, I agree with you. Thing is, they're not coordinated and updated. For today, we haven't called them yet. I'm planning to get myself a Skype number now just so I can personally call them instead of asking fiancé to do it.

Just so you know, you may have some trouble as you're the beneficiary, not the petitioner

Met on 15th of October, 2014 - started dating soon after

Became separated by the Atlantic Ocean on the 11th of July, 2015

Lots of Skype, visits, and love later...

Question for everyone!

Im just wondering here, how you guys are gonna deal with the "money" of the beneficiary....

Let me explain what I mean, I have a little savings account, is not much money but I cant not move with it in cash, so I want to know what should I do?

Opening a bank account at the USA at this point is almost impossible, since I dont even have the K1 yet....

So maybe you guys have more insight in this?

Every answer is gonna be appreciated

You can tranfer it to your fiance? Or to a paypal account? And then when you are in the us and open an account you can transfer from paypal to your bank. Me and fiance always send money to each other via paypal and I think it's a great and safe way.

You can also get a pre paid card in your country, another good option but they usually have more expensive fees.

Well that could be an option although Paypal charges a fee, and with this sum it would be quite some Dollars!

I am going to give you my thoughts on this. B-)

I think that it will be up to you.  In our case, I think that she will pull out some money to bring with her.  As for the account itself, I would want her to keep it as we will be going back and forth to the Philippines often I will think.  I will be putting her on my account here and I would like to be on her account there.  You can always send money to yourself or your fiance money thru Western Union or some other way.

I do have to say that I had not thought about this until you brought it up.

You're right, but you will be charged a fee in any option you choose. some more, some less. I'm gonna keep my act in Brazil, and I'm probably just having a prepaid card with me and some cash. Always use pre paid card to travel and it makes me feel safe.

Western Union is also a good option from what I heard but I never used it.

I had not thought about PayPal, but if you send the money to him and send it as a GIFT, then there is not a fee.  I send money that way to friends and family here that way.

Oh I see... Hmm we haven't received it yet. They just mailed it yesterday. I'm thinking that it might be a mistake on their part, that they might have sent the RFE twice, cause prior to the arrival of the RFE mail, I sent an inquiry to USCIS about not receiving the RFE on time. They responded to that query on Sept. 22. By then, we have already received the mail and responded to first RFE

They mailed the first RFE on Sept. 6, we received it on Sept. 15 and they receieved the RFE, Sept. 22. Tricky part there is that they responded to my query and the RFE pack we sent on the same day... So I'm just really confused right now.

Anyone here with the same situation?

Probably a duplicate RFE..I received a second one after talking to a TIER 2 and I guess they put in a query even though it hadn't been mailed out yet...second copy never showed up so They must have caught it because they received my reply before it was printed and sent.

@Chris2870 When they sent the second RFE after speaking to Tier 2, was your case put on hold? Or did they stick to the first time they received the response for RFE? cause we have

case was put on hold for the original RFE. I actually called the tier 2 to ask about the delay in receiving the RFE because although the email said it was requested it wasn't mailed until 15 days later. He made a notation of non-receipt on my case, so they re-issued it with same 15 day printing/mailing delay. By that time; I received the original and responded and it was received by USCIS before the copy was printed...all that being said; it is possible to get a second RFE. sometimes the response isn't complete or something else catches their eye.

Ohhh I didnt know that Paypal had an Gift option thanks for sharing that

And I think for the petitioners is a lil more easy, I as a beneficiary I see all the things where my life will change, how Im gonna move all my stuff there, my money, etc, practically my life is gonna do a BIG BIG change.

I use WesternUnion all the time. I've found them to be very efficient

I FEEL THAT ALL THE TIME.

I don't complain about it, it was my choice, and after I finished my exchange year in the US I already planned on coming back with him or not.

But I do think it's harder for us, the beneficiary, as we are leaving everything behind. I mean, his main concern right now is finding storage for all my shoes! Lol

You might also consider looking into some of the more international bank or online banking options that exist. There are some banks like Chase or others that have digital accounts that you could get the number ahead of time setup and transfer via a bank to bank draft transfer. I know Ally Bank is also a purely online only bank and may allow for the international options.

I know my fiance has moved some money that way, though she can't move a ton since Nepal strictly controls money in and out of the country.

I do have to say that I had not thought about this until you brought it up.

Another thing to consider is remittances to your F's family. It so much easier to leave some funds in the existing account and appoint someone in your wife's family to have access or pay bills on your behalf..let me explain;

My Faye and I have a house payment for our vacation/retirement home in San Pablo, Laguna. We also help Her parents with shortfalls in their budget as well as paying for her younger sister's education ( this is expected from the eldest child in the Philippines BTW ) and we will do so until Her brother completes his Law Studies this year, then He will also help out.

My point is; Having the account still open allows for emergencies and saving in country and I can fund it from here in the States. not too mention that when I do retire and we move back to the Phil..I'm not converting or transferring a lump sum of International currency. Instead I can fund our savings slowly over time.

It has to do with not expecting to get the money back if there is a problem.  It is listed as Send money to friends and family.
