Police verification requires 2 neighbours as witnesses.Because there is a column in the form( which the officer has to fill) asking address of 2 witnesses. In my case the officer just asked the address of 2 neighbours. Did he just move there? Why can't he find a neighbour?

But the rental agreement and govt. Issued id showing the current address is enough to prove that u r a resident. Also if u have any complaints regarding this ,u can complaint it in district police office, where the special branch office is handling police verification.

They told me the same thing yesterday too. It’s been four weeks since they received my case. I guess I have another four weeks to go hopefully.

Is you case pivot? Non-pivot cases are taking 5 to 6 weeks and pivots are taking 9 to 11 weeks.

So the lawyer said she just needs a couple more things, one of those being my husbands birth certificate. He had sent it to me a while back because I thought we had to submit it for the I-130. I just looked at it and realized his name isnt on there. because his parents didnt name him immediately. How much of a pain do you think is this going to be for us? My husband is from India, if anyone knows if this can slide or not let me know or if you know how we can get his name added.
