Hi, what is a pivot case and how can I find out?

Really kicking myself for spending 3 weeks on getting documents together for IV.  (Police cert took forever)

It depends on your country, but if you had to upload your documents online, you're pivot. If you had to send them by mail, you're not pivot.

Trying to obtain a police cert can turn your world upside down. It ended up costing me 2,000 dollars and almost put my wife in jail to never see her again.

Hello all where is everyone case at?

I am currently waiting for documents review after submitting my aos and iv.

Same here. My AOS was accepted. They actually sent me an email saying they couldn't accept some of the IV documents. The problem was my police certificate was kinda dark and difficult to read, and apparently my marriage certificate was sent sideways, which it wasn't, but whatever. Now I'm waiting for them to accept the resubmitted documents.

Confusing. So online cases take 3 weeks yet mail in cases take less than a week? Have you got it mixed?

unfortunately no. today marks 4 weeks PIVOT case and no news...  feels like they shifted a bunch of embassies to online system and its just slowed down a ton. when you call they tell you 6 weeks...

Exactly. You can see people's progress on the NVC June filers thread and non-pivot cases who sent their documents after me (I did on May 23rd) already are approved.

Hi everyone, I have a question. Can I expedite my case at NVC before I get my case number and receipt number? Or I have to wait till the 8 weeks after I get my numbers before I can expedite? My petition was just approved, pd July 3rd 2017. Thank you.
