Embassy Review : The embassy in Uruguay will allow you to bring your spouse and any children along to the interview. The CO just interviewed my wife at the window. The entire process took about 30 minutes but most of the time was spent waiting for them to confirm they had all the required documents. Our interview was scheduled at 10:45am and we were out by 11:30am. Overall the staff there were very friendly and tolerant as our daughter is autistic and was a bit of a disturbance with her behavior. Just make sure you have all the required documents listed in the email from the consulate and you should not have any problems with getting processed and approved for your visa. One important note. If you need police clearance from Bolivia or any other country, you will need to obtain these documents or obtain a letter from the consulate of that country stating that they cannot be obtained due to you not meeting the requirements such as not possessing a current ID etc. In our case my wife physically traveled to Bolivia to obtain the three clearances required when though she wasn't a current citizen. It was a lot of work. Hopefully this information will help someone else who is processing through Uruguay.

My Fellow Citizens of the United States of America. If you're reading this message please take a deep breath and pause. Take a step back and truly consider what you're committing to. Our immigration process does NOT I repeat does NOT emphasize how crucial it is to understand the magnitude of your commitment to sponsor an immigrant. My fellow citizens, I urge you to do your research on immigration fraud. My story is a somber note to be prepared for the worst and hope for the best. Please look into how many cases involve domestic violence accusations from immigrants (mostly women) who KNOW our laws better than we do. They can so easily remove you from your home, remove you from your children's lives and take ALL of your money and your dignity. They can exploit our court system to manilpulate and control your life. Then, when you finally divorce they can SUE you for even more money. Your life as you know it today will never be the same. This is a real life story and it happens every day in our courts in every city and town across America. This message is not written out of anger. It is written out of love and compassion for my fellow man (women included). Please pray about your decision and ask for guidance. Everyone of us has a purpose in life. If you feel your purpose is to marry, love and cherish an immigrant then God bless you. But you better be SURE. All the best, Darrin Blocker

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
