I got an informed delivery notification this morning and there's something with page 1 of 1 coming for me today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I saw the e-mail and I'm not kidding I almost fainted dead away.  I'm still shaking violently and choking back tears.

Called Tiger and woke him up to tell him.

Has "page 1 of 1" ever meant anything but approval to anyone's knowledge?

 

7/17 NOA1, website still says case received.

We got our APPROVAL last week and it said exactly that, page 1 of 1. I'll attach the image I got from the informed delivery below so you can compare. Pretty sure you have an approval coming your way too!!!! So exciting

My fiance just called the NVC and our case is already assigned. 

 

NOA1: 07/03/2017

NOA2: 01/20/2018

NVC Case number assigned: 01/31/2018

That is f*cking awesome! Do you know how long it is currently taking for them to mail out a case to the corresponding embassy?

I may delusionally hopefully but it does seem like the NOA2 to NVC is not taking as long as it did at the end of 2017.  It looks like those who received their NOA2 in January are getting NVC case number closer to a 2-3 week timeframe versus 6-8 week timeframe in November/December. 

 

I've also read this in a few immigration news articles too. It sounds like it is an unintended consequence of stricter immigration laws (something to do with re-directing Green Cards away from NVC?) . 

 

Maybe gives us a little bit of hope

Came home for lunch and am listening like a hawk for any sound of mailbox opening happening.  Sadly, I don't think my mail carrier will be here until later on this afternoon, though, which means I won't get any news until I'm home after 6PM (EST).

Slowest few hours of my life...but at least I'm not about to puke anymore!
