I wish that would be the case..maybe Vermont processes February 2018..not California. But I hope you are right

Just to keep you updated guys: today I went to my local USCIS to get my biometrics done, everything was done quickly. I also heard other people there that they were also waiting almost a year for their biometrics appointment to show up, so it's all the same everywhere.

The waiting game continues.

they will take away your GC and which will not impact to your n400.

The stamp is your GC essentially.  Do not worry, those processing your N-400 know this.  Many I-751 filers as of late have had to get the stamp.  Be sure to make copies of your old GC though.  Some offices aren't giving it back.  You might need copies of it later.

BTW, I read a post yesterday from someone in the El Paso area where that office is so busy they are not allowing info pass appt for the stamp unless applicant is within a 30 window of extension letter expiring.  Just thought you might want to know this in case your denied.  My understanding is each field office runs a bit differently, so don't cancel.  Yours might might not be so strict.

Since the I-751 is so delayed, we went ahead and filed a N-400 online a week ago. Got an update on the petition saying it will take 13 months for approval of the Citizenship application. Office is NYC I suppose. Is this correct??

I have the same updates and I haven't been doing my due diligence in checking my updates unfortunately. But I literally just logged in into my account and saw the same updates. In the meantime, Ive been trying to schedule an InfoPass appointment because my DL is expiring :(
