It's that time again....let's get acquainted or re-acquainted.  Seems like so long ago I was on this site regularly.

 

I can't file til the end of June but I'm getting started now.  

 

There's so many great reads on this site but I don't have the time (or patience) to read them all.   I-751 Cover Letter & List of Evidence Samples (and Reviews megathread)  is a great one but its loooooooonnnngggg. Wouldn't it be nice to help each other by sharing all the nuggets to simplify this process.

 

For starters, here's a few links to help you get started.

 

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/dateCalculator.html   a date calculator to know the earliest you can file

 

https://www.uscis.gov/i-751   make sure your form is the most current form, 12/23/2016 is the latest.  You don't want an rfe for an outdated form.

So how are you guys handling the taxes? Are you getting transcripts from the IRS or are you just printing your returns?

Transcript from the IRS is more applicable to avoid RFE, immigration officer want to see if the returns was really filed and sent to IRS, you can request that online and have it delivered on your mailing address.

We are sending ours tomorrow. We have one year 2016 with a regular tax return, but other years are tax transcrïpts. I didnt have time to wait for irs to do a transcript for 2016. My question is, the 90 day prior mark is 6/3/17, so if i send it early will csc go off postmark or the day they receive it?

9/01/15 AOS Interview Houston-APPROVED!

9/01/15 Card in production, Welcome notice has been mailed

9/05/15 Welcome Notice Received

9/08/15 Greencard was mailed

9/10/15 GREENCARD RECEIVED!!!!!!!!

We sent off the paperwork with a Priority Mail with tracking. USPS said it will be delivered tomorrow. Presumably the check will be cashed the following day and a Case Number assigned. Assuming no RFE, by this time next year we should have the card. Then it will be time to apply for Citizenship LOL

I'm interested to know too! My window opens on 6/10/17 so I am planning on sending my packet on that day. I don't know how they calculate what is too early and I don't want to be rejected just because I filed a day early. But let's see what others say...

We will submit transcripts from IRS. Thanks to this forum I was able to request it online and it arrived before my 90 day window opens.

Hi all :) Packet is underway and scheduled to be delivered tomorrow or Friday. Here's what all I included in mine:

 

tax transcripts for 2015, 2016

Joint bank checking, credit card, and savings account statements (transaction pages for period since marriage)

Beneficiary information (health insurance policies, life insurances, retirement/investment accounts, HSA documentation)

other insurance policies, e.g. for vehicles; memberships (costco, amazon, etc.)

travel evidence (international trip to family); about 10 pictures from various points and times

(No mortgage or bills in both names as everything was setup already in spouses name, but everything is paid out of joint checking.)

 

All in all it was about 1.15 lbs to mail.

ROC Timeline:

May 31: Package mailed    

June 8: NOA1 received, dated June 2

June 27: Biometrics done

Sept 25: Case Status Update Card in Production

After reading a few older posts i think im going to send it on saturday morning. I dont want it to be rejected
