"Democratic aides interpreted the measure as meant to prevent members of Congress from intervening in cases"

There is a LOT of spin in that article IMO.

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

Reading far too much into it.  That explains exactly what I said

I personally know people who had to ask for intervention from somebody from Congress because for example they didn't hear from Uscis for over 2 years even though it was USC sponsoring a parent and it wasn't a case about keeping people here and prevent deportation.

Right but that's not what they're discussing here.  They do not want anymore bills to keep certain illegal immigrants here.  No personal interest bills.

I don't see the current administration as anti-immigrant but anti-illegal immigrant. I wouldn't worry.

Indeed.  Until something is published legally I wouldn't worry

"A separate bill from Goodlatte on U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services could restrict lawmakers’ ability to influence cases by barring “preferential treatment” or sharing information with elected officials and stakeholders on individual cases"

I see you're willing to fight tooth and nail on this.  I wouldn't be worried at this point.  I still disagree with you.

I honestly believe that if they wanted to reform immigration, they would have taking action on that in the first 100 days in office. And I also agree with the changes in the work visas. But yeah, don't believe the media unless it's coming from an official website/news channel and/or the white house itself. Or President Trump's tweets.

I won't. We will see details tomorrow and in coming weeks.

I just read the entire bill.  What it mentions is not giving preferential treatment that wouldn't be available to everyone or: through favors or greased palms.  Not what you're saying

I couldn't edit my last post anymore but the Huffington Post is such a liberal bleeding website. They are very anti Trump (all my liberal friends on Facebook like to share their political opinion through Huffington posts) and of course, Huffington Post likes to make it sound like immigrant are being mass deported instead of illegal immigrants are being mass deported. I have been reading the article and really, I'm not even worried about me nor other fellow legal immigrants. Just stay out of trouble, like felonies.

Nobody is being mass deported yet of any class.

We know that but everyone who believes what the HFP says might think immigrants are being mass deported now. I'm always quite annoyed by their political incorrect/misleading information articles.
