So, finally we got approved since November 8.

My Fiancé told me he received the NOA2 via mail yesterday, (Nov. 14). We never had updates or notifications coming from USCIS website and Case Tracker applications.

At least, this long wait is so over.

Hi.. what date in May did your case receive?

Right now I am close to tears...my petition is 339653. So far these numbers were approved 339649, 339654, 339655. It's like the more I want the NOA2 the farther it gets 😖

Same here...

I just booked a ticket to see my fiancee for Christmas.  Originally we had planned to be here and married before but that's pretty much not happening and I'm worried at this rate wouldn't be till February or March.  Can always cancel flight, right?  But tickets keep climbing.  Uhg.

Usually a Letter of Intent to deny is only issued to people who haven't met in person in the last two years or the Background checks turned up disqualifying criminal records etc. Example; A woman comes to the US on a tourist visa with friends and meets Her Fiance while traveling coast to coast then returns home. The American Fiance then files a petition on her behalf. Although legal, it sends red flags to USCIS because the Citizen never visits Her country, which never creates the paper trail that they can follow. Passport stamps, ticket stubs, pictures etc, are the backbone of the petitions. If the Citizen never visits Her and her family then USCIS will doubt the legitimacy of the relationship because no effort was made to understand who she is and where she comes from.

Does that make sense?

Not sure if it makes sense to me. My fiance never came to my country. He has two little kids and share custody, so it's very hard for him to come spend time with me, first cause it would cause drama (ex wife) and second cause he is extremely attached to the kids. Even tho it's our case, we got approved by USCIS without an RFE

Hello May filers!

Tier 2 just called my fiancé this morning and we figured out that we got either approval or rfe on Monday and hard copy was mailed out on the same day...lol The officer had a very strong accent and were using all the codes, so my fiancé was confused (he doesn’t stalk this website so doesn’t know what NOA or RFE means..!) and did not really understand what the officer said. But my fiancé thinks the officer said we needed more documents, so it’s probably rfe. No website update yet and we are May 18 filer! Pretty sure it’s rfe but part of me is still hoping it’s a NOA2 lol

As in all things it depends on each individual adjudicator and the strength of evidence included with the petition. I gave an example of a potential problem that could cause a NOID

I understand. I just gave an example that everything could have many and many variables to be studies, not that they really care. The fact that I lived in the US with j1 visa may have helped. Will never know I guess
