The article begins early on indicating that there was no violation due to Podesta being new. That's the clearest sentence in the entire article which devolves into a diatribe on poor Donald Trump and his clear ethical issues involving his numerous business holdings. The most 'damning' information comes from WikiLeaks and not surprisingly came out last October. It sure appears that this deflection points more to the cluster which was the 2016 election and Donald Trumps problems than anything else. Thanks for sharing without fully grasping what was posted.

Seriously though this is very iffy. You have McCaskill.. then you have this. Right now very huge difference in scope of conflict of interest. 

 

And conservatives need to stop playing from the liberal playbook of calling anyone's business connections suspect. In my opinion it validates these waste of time personal attacks on things mostly conjecture or conspiracy to begin with.

That is a good point.  I don't care about this just as I don't care about the Left's wailings regarding the Trump administration officials and their business ties.  The marketplace is truly global, and many people will have business dealings all over the it.

I made no claims about Podesta's activities being illegal because that is irrelevant. What is relevant is his very real connections to the Russian government while he and other Democrats falsely claim there is a connection between Trump and the Russian government. As I said before blame your enemies for what you yourself are guilty of.

Trump is President. I think right now it is reasonable to care more about how Trump is tied with the Russian government.

 

Had Hillary won and we were here now, then by all means we could talk about how important it is to investigate people close to her. She holds no political power now, and will likely never again. She could have an orgy with Putin and Bill for all I care. More power to her.

 

I don't want Russia influencing our electoral process in either direction, and I don't want any President (Democrat or Republican) feeling beholden to Trump for "favours" or due to blackmail. Trump is our President. If there is evidence, it needs to be investigated. It's a matter of National Security. Hillary is lost in the forest somewhere. You can't use the "But Hillary did this" excuse. Save that for the 6 year olds.
