I said yes, because I had my vaccination records too, even if those didn't show I was immune to varicella. However, my line of thinking was I would have the DS3025 for the time of the interview anyway, so I would have that documentation for when it was relevant (interview and POE).

Okay! I'm glad that worked out for you! I'm just concerned because I'm not sure he'll be able to get the varicella vaccine in the UK. He might have to get it here? I'm honestly not sure yet how that would work out.

Well, you can also answer "NO" and explain on the pop up just that. It's not a big concern for them, since vaccines are not mandatory for a K1 visa.

BTW, I remember reading on the clinic's website here that varicella vaccines were provided on demand (they were 70€ :o)... Not sure about it, but maybe that means the clinic has those available because they know they are required in the US.

Yeah, on the Knightsbridge info page it has a chart of the vaccinations and next to varicella it says 'not available'. But yeah, I think we've decided to mark 'no' and just explain, for those reasons. I'm thinking it shouldn't matter too much in the end so long as he gets it before AOS.

One other question: Has anyone ever filed an immigrant petition on your behalf with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services?

Would our answer to that be no, since the K1 isn't an immigrant visa?

Don't be scared, this part is the easiest one. You'll always have the chance to correct your info at the interview if you think there's something wrong with it, and it doesn't seem to me they are that strict about it, as long as you answer to the best of your knowledge.

For what it's worth, today my informed delivery says I'll get the letter from the NVC. And according to the requirements for a visa medical listed on the hospital in Manila where the medical must be done (St Luke's), they REQUIRE this letter (see attached snip from their website). Contrary to what some have said, this appears to be necessary. Also, another forum member posted that they went to St Lukes this week and were told it's required.

So thankfully I only had to wait a few days for the letter to come. I was swirling in confusion about what if anything I'd receive. Some have said you only need a snip of the "Ready" status from the CEAC website, but not true.

No one said that it was not a requirement.  You were given options for what to do if the NVC letter did not arrive which does happen from time to time.

Finally done.

Quick question: Sam is filling out the DS-160 and a question came up I'm not sure how to address.

"Do you have documentation to establish that you have received vaccinations in accordance with US law?"

He has his vaccination records, but some things (including Varicella which isn't available in the UK) he's missing that he would need to get at the medical. I'm thinking the answer then would be no? Any idea how to approach this?

You should put yes for that. I was in the exact same situation and put yes because I did have all documentation for my other vaccines. Also, I have good news for you because we get a waiver for Varicella in the UK. It won't affect the completion of your medical. I got a full waiver at Knightsbridge and the statement was that it was a waiver because it isnt routinely available. My DS3025 was marked vaccinations complete and im good for AOS. So you will be too.

Has he ever had the chicken pox? Can he have a titer checked if needed? That would show his immunity.

Yeah for sure if u have another ticket of this year it's more better and useful even if it's after the petition all matters is to prove that u met before . Also provide them a summary explaining the dates of the evidence and the meeting
