If you are that into false narratives and hypocrisy as you claim, you'd manage to avoid a lot of the erratic driving you do.

Not much was proven with the tax return, but what the majority of individuals would like to see all of his tax returns for (and not just two pages from '05 which is a fat lot of nuthinburger for purposeful reasons) is not to see how little taxes he pays compared to the average guy (we get it he's rich big whoop.. but not as rich as he says he is and that hurts his feels) but it's to see the rest of the items that go along with all of his returns. His '05 return addresses none of it and of course it doesn't, which is why it's a big smokescreen diversionary tactic.

Call me lemming all you want, but I am with the majority of the American people who want to see his taxes.

 

I don't understand why the MDRs are having a nuclear meltdown with something that in fact has been customary since the days of Nixon.

I still don't get the concept of "Trump's tax returns are the business of the American people".  Why?  I don't mean Trump's specifically, but any president?

If a person is going to lie about their taxes, there is nothing that can be done about it, short of them getting caught and being prosecuted for it.  But there are several examples where that concept doesn't work; Al Sharpton comes to mind in recent years.  I am sure there are other past examples.  But just because a person releases their tax records isn't in and of itself an indication of honesty in reporting; it just gives the appearance of transparency, which I guess makes the people feel better about trusting their leader?

Trump himself supported releasing tax returns, until he was against it but only in regards to his imperious self. The guy is a bent drama queen and it might just be more chaos and distraction, not about what is actually in his returns.

 

It's the business of the American people because even this specific return shows that if he manages to get rid of the AMT as he has stated he wants to he would have only paid roughly five million in 2005 vs the thirty plus the AMT forced out of him. Trump has already shown he isn't going to be hobbled making himself richer by pesky adherence to normal ethical standards, the public deserves to know how else he intends to enrich himself.

Here is the thing about tax returns. Politicians ,who have aspirations to run for president, spend their life manipulating what they show on their returns. They do this, they do that, the hide this,they donate that.....all for the release of their returns....to show they do the right thing.  That is why I have no desire to see politicians tax returns. They are deceptive.

 

Trump never was a politician so he never cared what his returns showed.
