I genuinely thought I was going to click on this thread and see this:

Even mine has more than that.

-I like that Trump said NATO is obsolete and cost's the US too much money. We do have to cut spending somewhere.

Honestly I wish I had at least one positive thing to say regarding Donald Trump as President. I don't. I don't understand what anyone see's in him, on a molecular level. Nothing. He is a self absorbed pathological liar that seems to reject reality in all of its forms.

You seem to be describing Hillary.

Beyond that, there are a lot of positive things about Trump, especially if you are in the MD(TM).  Are there negatives, of course, you can say that about any politician, even Bernie Sanders, or Barack Obama, of course if you do you will be labeled by their supporters.

I agree with all of the items Spookyturtle mentioned:

"I agree with with the proposal that prohibits becoming a lobbyist until you have been out of office for at least 5 years.

I agree with the proposal for Congressional term limits. Serving is an honor, not a career.

I agree with stepping up enforcement of border security.

I agree with with more rigorous vetting in the immigration process. But I do wish it would be done in a more timely manner than it currently is.

I agree with swiftly deporting illegals who are criminals.

I agree with the US standing tall in the world and not being a pushover. It's OK to stand firm. And I don't mean telling all of our allies to piss off and threatening anyone who doesn't agree with us. I've found in life that being firm but polite and respectful gets me what I want or close to it in many cases."

I would add repealing the 17th Amendment with the item regarding term limits (hey if we are going to amend the Constitution, why not).

I also agree with wanting a better relationship with the other world powers rather than continuing an antagonistic relationship

Congressional limits are something that sounds good unless you actually think it through. We have a perfect way of keeping congress people in check already. It's called our right to vote. We shouldn't need to legislate something because voters are too ignorant or too partisan to get rid of bad apples.

That said, I would be on board with it if the term limits were higher than for the president though, say maybe 4 terms. Otherwise it's the same issue we have with the president. You take 1 term to learn the job, and the other yo start to plan your retirement. We can't have everyone in Washington not knowing what they are doing, and while that is often a punch line, I don't think the reality would work out all that well. I agree we do need to get rid of the cronyism that comes with lifetime membership.

I don't disagree with you one bit, except for one very interesting process that occurs from time-to-time, re-districting which of course is a highly political process.  Of course this does not impact the Senate as much as the House, but it is still a fact that muddies the elections.

Also agree. I think term limits are good for the legislature, but they have to be more than 2 terms.

Gerrymandering is an absolute joke and has to go. I went to look up my Congressman (to contact them to request help with my wife's case at the NVC) and it showed me the map of the two "potential" people it was. They were both hilariously wonky. One was this funny C-shape that is obviously avoiding a large population in the middle by going "up and around". It was absolutely hilarious.

America was already great. ;) We just need to fix some things and protect the Constitution. You'd think since most Americans are in agreement with the majority of items on my/other's lists it would be an easy task.

I would have to disagree my initial post also describes Hilary Clinton. It was a while ago, but after the election results came out I said her losing made the Donald winning marginally easier to bear. Not really a huge fan of Hilary Clinton however she is very intelligent, something Donald Trump appears to wish people to believe he is, but there is no evidence.

Donald Trump so far is every bit, and so much more, of the disaster his campaign promised him to be.

I don't see how anyone can defend anything he has said or done thus far. Granted it is very early into his first term in office, but get real, the Donald is obviously totally out of his depth and everything he has said and done confirms the warnings of his detractors' but oddly strengthens the adoration of his shrinking fan base even as he acts contrary to the promises he made them.

Also as to my original post, I truly wish I could find just one thing to like that Donald Trump has said, done, or stands for. I truly do.

It was the part about Trump being a self absorbed pathological liar.  This describes Hillary Clinton to a tee.

Some of the comments here and elsewhere does seem that there was a significant amount of spite behind the support for Trump.

Oddly though, winning has not been enough for Donald Trump. He lives in LalaLand where in his alternate reality he was robbed of total victory in the popular vote by millions of illegal votes. An alternative reality where every Muslim is suspect and to be greatly feared. An alternative reality where the press is the enemy of the State. An alternative reality where his edicts are not to be questioned by the Courts. An alternative reality where it is absolutely fine to spend every weekend at his own private members only resort, where money alone buys access to the circus that is his Administration.

I strongly disagree Hilary Clinton even comes close to Trump in the self absorbed pathological liar category. She is bigly out of his league.
