Go to DHL website, make sure you have NVC ship date. 

 

Track package by Shipper's Reference number using the following format,

You're likely to hear something back anytime from now through the next couple weeks. Nothing definite, but most people around your filing date are likely to be covered in that time frame.

Samires, I know how hard it is. It took us almost 3 months to get our NOA2. After NOA2 the process is extremely fast. We received our NOA2 on Feb 03rd, by the end of Feb our case was in transit to RJ Consulate. On March 07th I did the medical and March 14th I'd the interview. Today I received my passport back and schedule my flight for next week. Hopefully soon you'll get you NOA2.

I received my approval 3 days after they acknowledged receipt of the additional info requested.  So they move pretty fast.

My Fiance, just received a called from NVC. They gave her the case and Invoice number. Things do move faster once you have the NOA2. I am praying all the filers here get approved soon and are with their loved ones.

I wonder why they don't finish all the November before move on to December. They process over 100s of December each but left behind around 272 of November. Kind of disappointed that on the website said they process first filed application.I have been waited over 124 days.

I completely agree on a micro level. Cases should be processed in the order they arrived as stated.

 

However, from a macro level, what they're doing makes sense from a process flow. Think of it like a supermarket with 10 registers open and 100 customers...

• The lines very likely won't be exactly equal to start with.
• Some cashiers will go faster than others.
• Some people will have more items than others.
• Some people will have items that won't scan, or require somebody to look them up by hand.
• Some people won't have sufficient funds, or pay slowly.

Assumption: Once you pick a line, you cannot move to a new line.

 

In this scenario, 9 times out of 10 there will be a line moving faster than your own. The 5 people in line #1 could get checked out while your line sits there on person #1 still.

 

Is it the cashier's fault for some people taking wayyyy longer than others? The store's? To make it more fair, should they have cashiers wait until all front-line customers are checked out before moving to the next? Should they put all the low-item count/exact change/etc. people at the front (or use a dedicated line)? unfortunately, there's not really a solution that works best for everybody, and all the 'fair" solutions are just inefficient. This line/queue management process conundrum comes up in all sorts of process flows, and there simply isn't a generic solution...just ways to prioritize certain aspects (fairness, fastest average time, optimal customer experience, etc.).

1. Is it normal to be approved for the last two weeks without receiving the paper NOA2 in the mail or text message? We got approved but dont have the paper NOA2 yet

2. As the beneficiary, can I call NVC from my home country to inquire if our file has reached them and also go ahead and ask for the Case number?

I remember you posted that you were considering cancelling your I-129F petition.  I can only imagine the wait and agony seeing other people who's petitions were sent in December already get their NOA2 approval.

Maybe a vacation to visit your fiance is in order.   I wish you good luck and prayers that your guys' approval happens soon!
