Hello everyone. I've only lurked on here, but just adding my info here in case it helps others: We sent in our application on February 24th. Received the confirmation email on March 6th with tracking number. Checked the tracker today and I see the case as approved...!

I'm so over the moon excited, but pulling for everyone still awaiting approval. What a supportive community. Best of luck.

wow congrats! which tracker did you check?

I am so sorry. Nobody should have to go through this. It's ridiculous.

I wish I could fly over to that pyramid they work out of there in California and approval all of our cases!

Hang in there just a bit longer and I am sure we will all be seeing good news soon.

Hi TriloByte (I like the name) and janet3.

I'm in the same boat as both of you are.  I have a received date of February 2 and a notice date of February 6.  It has now been over 4 months for me as well and I'm trying to wait patiently for the NOA2.  It is frustrating watch people with much later received dates receive their NOA2s (so much so that it makes me feel as though my case must have been lost or ignored by this point).  But I am glad that at least you two are pretty much in the exact same boat.  It makes it much easier and sooner than later we'll receive our NOA2.

Good luck to both of you!

I have a favor to ask. Is there a woman or women on this forum that is the Fiancé of a United States Citizen? I am not sure how to word that question any better.

My Fiancé is really struggling sitting at home starring at the walls. Here county has an employment contract for basically every job, so she can not find work. Because of the problems with USCIS, she is losing faith in our way of governing. The distance and time is growing daily. I imagine once NOA2 is complete, it will be easier.

Here is my favor. What advice would you give to the other women that are in this position with you?

Hi :) I am that kind of woman :) and also I couldnt find any job after I came from USA from visiting my fiance. I will recommend her to stay busy, find herself something to do what she like, for example I went to the gym, started new activities, came back to horseriding and helped my cousin at her stable, than opportunnietes found me: my moms friend asked if I don't mind babysitting her kids while her babysitter was sick for some time. And 2 times a week I was giving english classes to a 7 year old. So I was busy all the time since I came back, pretty much. I am that type of person that cant stay at home because I am stressing out and overthinking, overeating my stress etc. I know it is hard but eventually that day will come, by the time she is waiting she can complete all paperwork for embassy or just simply do some stuff for herself. I hope that I helped a bit :)

Yes! You got it friend! It's very hard to be at such a distance to someone you love very much but soon you will look back and think it wasn't even that big of a deal 😅. I would check back daily or every other day and ask about your case. You will know when they assign your case number because they will start asking more questions than normal (your name, fiance's name, their birthdate and so on) . These are for security reasons to release the case number to you, at least this is what I have found in my own personal experience. Find things to keep yourself occupied and start getting your stuff ready for interview and medical, also don't forget your affidavits of support and so on. You'll have a case number anytime now Friend!

Thank you for the encouragement! I really hope we will have to case number very very soon.

We already gathered all the stuff we will need for the interview while we were waiting for NOA2 😫 I've also already got all my vaccinations etc for the medical. So I now I have a lot of time to worry 😂😂

Let's just hope that all of our cases will be approved, be tranfered to NVC and get the case numbers next week! 💪🏼💪🏼 Have a wonderful weekend!

I agree with @pattyandvern, just try and stay busy.  I have a daily routine during the week- work 6:30-3:30 and then go home and have a little nap (so I'm not falling asleep talking to my fiance), eat supper, go for a run, shower and then talk to my fiance until I go to bed on video chat.  So I try not to leave much stress time and my day is always the same. I also have a part time second job and I babysit.   I try and hang out with my mom whenever possible too since I may not see her for awhile and I know she'll really miss me. So encourage her to spend time with family and friends and maybe she could volunteer somewhere in the day??  And then of course exercise always passes the time too!  Walking and listening to music is even great.  And if she hasn't already she can start going through her things and make a "must bring" pile. I've gone through my pile several times and every time I try and get rid of a few things.

I know it's not possible for everyone but We planned visits throughout this process so we always had something to look foreward to, instead of stressing over the visa.

We received our NOA2!  The odd thing is it came in the mail on 5/26, but I still haven't received any text message alerts and the uscis.gov website still has not been updated.  I'm hoping for a quick turnaround through the NVC, so we can get the interview scheduled.  We're close enough now that we're starting to lock in a wedding venue and church.

As a note for anyone that would like to get married in a church, but obviously we're time constrained on when your fiance will arrive, I spoke to my local Catholic church today.  Typically, they require 5-6 months of lead time, but I offered that we could start doing the meetings with me in person and my fiance on Facetime or Skype and they are going to let us try that.  No guarantees, but they said they'll try it with us as they've never done that before.

NOA1 - 2/13/17

NOA2 - 5/22/17

Congrats on your approval!!!! :)
