Mmhm. Thanks for your smart remarks and emojis.. I wanted to know the reason other than fee changed.. ?

I think there will be more rejections later when they start prossesing, and now there just the reasons they can see right away.  later i think they will have other rejections based on the content of th pettions, in terms of letter of intent and relationship proof.

No I don't think they can reject it like that.. they can send a request for additional evidence but not necessarily reject them for proof. If the letter is missing they ask you for it and send it in etc.

@geowrian and @AkesAngel how you guys do it? i *may* want to do it for the feb filers. operative word "may" though, no commitment yet! ☺️

If you want to know the process, you can PM me. I'll gladly share the instructions I've sent to others....albeit it does tend to be a little overly technical for many people (due to the IP ban after too many requests).

Hi! January filer here as well, with NOA1 on the 19th, if I remember it correctly (info is on my desktop and I'm currently on my laptop).

So anxious after reading some couples who mentioned that they met on OkCupid got an RFE. Ugh why would proof of not being an IMBA still be asked when they probably get hundreds of applicants who met on OKC each month? The wait is killing me. :/

Hey Guys,

Is the processing time for approval different based in beneficiary's country?

I am from India, got NOA1 on 11th Jan. When should I be expecting approval?

Thanks

Processing time is the same for everyone during stage one (NOA-1 to NOA-2). Nothing is sorted by country at this point, and you might expect approval in the next four to six weeks, maybe sooner maybe later. Where things get slower or faster, depending on your country, is once your petition reaches the consulate or embassy in the country you're filing from. Some embassies can turn it around quickly and others will have far longer waiting times or additional required steps.

Thanks! I checked our NOA1 and found that the Notice date was actually on the 23rd (still close to yours), with the 19th being the receipt date.

Still so anxious about the OKC thing but I hope all goes well. Really hoping we can get married before the year ends. We're just too excited! Well, aren't we all? :)
