do i need to wait for nvc READY statis bedore i schedule interview? or i can go interview without saying ready status

-You can fill out the ds160 when you have the case number, even if your case isn't ready yet. BUT, you can only submit it once your case is ready.

-You may schedule your interview when your case is ready, but only AFTER you have paid the visa fee.

-You CANNOT go to the interview if your case is not ready. Remember, you have to pay first, then schedule interview, then complete medical and get the results.

I have answered this via our private chat. There's also a bunch of helpful sites that will guide you in the next steps. Please take the time to read through them and our private conversations as well to avoid asking the same questions multiples times on this thread. Thanks and good luck!

Oh dear god, just waiting for my loving bride to be to have her sputum tests next week

hoping for the best but regardless of results we have a plan. If she tests negative we wait for the 2 month culture and hopefully we move forward in September. If positive, well we deal with it and I book a flight in October to see my love again as she goes through the treatment

Dear god, so much waiting but most important is that my love is safe, happy, and healthy

I know in my heart I will wait for this girl and regardless of outcome I see her soon

whats not to like

Good luck to all that have medical and interviews soon

I'm really sorry about this. :(

I was there on Friday and I was surprised to see so many people doing the sputum test. Before medical, I was worried about getting sent to psych eval, but when I saw those people and realized how much of a hassle and a delay that will cause, I panicked on the inside. The entire day, I and the other hopefuls were crossing our fingers, hoping our X-ray results are clear.

I was one of the lucky ones. What a relief! But I truly, truly feel for the ones who have to go there everyday to do the sputum test/get treated. I wish all the best for Juvy! I hope she tests negative! You've been waiting too long!

Hang in there and keep us posted.

Thanks for the kind words. Me and Juvy are prepared for the worst. God having to go to St Luke's everyday from Taguig will be difficult for her if she tests positive. She is prepared if that happens and hope they let her go to the St Luke's in Taguig City....doubt it though. So if all goes well I will be in the Phils in September to bring my bride home and if she has treatment then a trip in October to see each is in the plans

Good luck to you in your Journey and our prayers are with everyone trying to be with the one they love

NVC sent my case to the embassy in Brazil, and when we track it using our case number it says our interview was provided to us by the NVC. Does anyone know anything about this?

We have no date and also kinda is having me panic that we had no say in when it was scheduled for. Especially since the embassy is not close and my fiance needs to take a plane to get there...

Hey guys! I am getting so annoyed with trying to pay the visa fee. Has anyone else made it to this point yet? Apparently i cant pay the visa fee until I schedule his interview! But of course in Kingston there are no interview dates and the website wont allow me to just pay the damn fee  and worry about actually scheduling it later. is anyone else having this issue or is this just a Jamaica thing?

I'm sorry. That's a long time. I heard from some people that their case was already 'ready' even though it said 'in transit'. Or it just takes longer for some countries ..

I hope you'll hear from them soon!! Good luck

Call the Jamaican us embassy to confirm when and where u have to pay. For trinidad I had to print the payment instructions from the us embassy and go to a local bank and pay it.

You can only pay the visa visa fee after ur case says ready and is at the Jamaican embassy and u have submitted your ds-160

We did the same thing for Taiwan, usually I hear that the embassy might give some trouble paying online from what i read, so we paid via visa reciept at the Taiwan post office, I am sure that the cash option will save you the headache.
