I am curious at to why NVC has been having so many issues.  All these posts that I have read on this thread have all been related to the work of NVC, or should i say the lack there of.  I am waiting in the same boat as everyone else here.  Suppose the fact that this was an election year, the fact that Trump may have some sort of influence on the immigration process and has been very influential on the attitudes of all Department of State Employees, which includes USCIS,  NVC and contractors.  Maybe this is stirring up some chaos within the department.  I don't know, its just a theory, but I do know that there are MANY families out there hurting right now because of the lack of urgency with these immigration cases, my wife and I included.  Write your congressman, senators, state leaders, majority leaders, Bernie Sanders, everyone.  This needs to be addressed!

I was thinking that exact same thing whilst doing the dishes earlier.... i reckon also that trump getting in has had some kind of affect on this process too!

Hey guys, first of all i wish good luck to all of you in your visa journey..as for me, my scan date was 10/14/2016, my case was put for supervisor review on 12/01/2016, i called today and i was told my case was put yesterday to supervisor review by a supervisor ,  does anyone have or had same situation? And is it bad or good sign that supervisor put it for review again ? Please share your opinions .

thanks and good luck..

I'm new to this site, but from what I've seen, you should have heard back from NVC.  Six weeks from 12/01/2016 is next Thursday, so I would advise to call NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor if you don't hear by then.  Good luck - hopefully you hear good news very soon.

Hey I wanted to see if you guys can help me determine if I should be expecting a checklist from the NVC(fingers crossed). My PD is 11/27. I didn't meet the income requirements so my dad was my co-sponsor. my income for 2015 was $17,7373 and my dad's income for 2015 was $25,295 for a household of 5. We both completed the I-1-864 ( i still live at home, as well). Combined, we have an income of $43,032 which exceeds the $35,550 2015 income limit for a household of 5 (or household of 6 when you include my husband which is $40,725). But just in case, we also included my father's assets which is a savings of $58,688.97. I just want to make sure the math makes sense and that DOES satisfy the AOSrequirment.

also, I included a cover letter of all the items for the AOS and IV folders.

[AOS DOCUMENTS]

[from petitioner/me]

I-864 Coversheet (with barcode)

Form I-864 (Completed and Signed by PETITIONER)

2015 Tax Transcript

2014 Tax Transcript

2013 Tax Transcript

Copy of license (proof of relationship/sponsor and co-sponsor reside in the same address)

Copy of passport

[from Petitioner’s father and co-sponsor]

I-864A from <FATHER'S NAME>

2015 Tax Transcript

2014 Tax Transcript

2013 Tax Transcript

Copy of Citizenship (Proof of US citizenship)

Copy of license (proof of relationship/sponsor and co-sponsor reside in the same address)

Letter from Bank <average balance over 3 months and savings amount>

IV DOCUMENTS:

+ Two (2) Passport Size Photographs of Beneficiary (NVC Case Number, beneficiary’s full name, and date of birth are written on back of both)

+Photocopy of the Biographic Data Page of Beneficiary’s Passport

+Certified Birth Certificate of beneficiary

+Certified Marriage Certificate

+Certified Police Clearance Certificate

i completed both folders by myself because i had to let my lawyer go. I found him unhelpful and figured I can manager myself. He was lazy and uncommunicative. I also made sure to put N/A where it wasn't applicable when filling out the AOS form. I hope this works for me! what do you guys think?

You are really close. Just hang on alittle more. I know its easier said than done but its so beautiful when you see those NAs.

Good Luck.

I notice a trick or whatever you want to call is that you should put a supervisor call back request because supervisors hate to talk to us and that's how they just do it to avoid calling us and listening to our frustration. That's what I did and I believe that's why they reviewed my case. Just theory!!!!

I spoke with one of supervisor like one week ago .. She was nice and said be patience we have so many cases to review and kind of behind ...I don't know how they transferred me to talk to supervisor and was Spanish speaker. I think is easier to hold supervisor early in morning between 7 am to 9 am eastern time.
