Just got our paper work back from the USCIS 1-485 AOS filing. Our paperwork was rejected due to incorrect fee paid. I made a check out to department of homeland security for $1,070- to included the 1-485 fee and the biometrics fee.

We also applied for 1-130- after more research I understand this is not necessarily needed??? We did not pay the 1-130 fee- is this why our paperwork got denied?

We sent 1-485, I-131, I-765 and I-130- is this needed for K-1 AOS filing?

Is the correct filing fee of 1-485 $1,070????

I know the fees go up on December 23 and want to try and get this figured out. Thank you for your help.

I-130 is for the CR1 process, not part of the K1 visa process. Like Lioness said get it back in the mail without the I-130 and overnight it back to them so it hopefully will get postmarked before 12/23; otherwise, you will have to pay the increased fee amounts.

Can you provide some more details about what exactly you are trying to do? I-130 is for CR1 process. I-129F is for K1. Both of those processes are to obtain visas. I-485 is for AOS once they are already in the US.

i-130 as ppl have told you is an incorrect form for you. I've also seen a recent thread where the same happened cause they put the wrong category for the i-485, which should be ( c) 9, so maybe double check that part too.

$1070 is the correct fee until the 23rd
