Hi....so today I received a letter from the Orlando Field Office USDHS asking me to appear at their office at the end of July.

It says that I need to bring the letter, passport, birth certificate, Affidavit of Support, etc.

But I have 3 questions...

1) Why does the letter look so informal ? It looks like a Word page I could print myself comparing to the NOAs in the past. (lol)

2) It only says that IF my spouse is petitioning for me on Form 1-130, he should be there and I should take proof of relationship. I didn't file the form 1-130, so my question is...does he have to be there?

3) Is this the famous letter for the Green Card Interview?

Thanks for clearing this up for me :)

What does your status say on USCIS webpage? Mine says my interview has been scheduled. Also, I got the NOA for the interview requesting the same as you.

Mine was give or take the same way. It's not a fancy letter but yes it is for the green card interview . You spouse HAS to be there with you at the interview. You are married now so that's why they refer to form I-130 rather than I-129F since it's adjustment of status of a spouse, not a fiance. Good luck!!! You're almost done!

Interview scheduled for July 18th!

Those interviewing go over all questions and information on the I-485 (I-130) application forms.  They will ask those.

Didn't you file the I-485?  Yes your spouse needs to attend.

I wanted to see if any November filers are still "STUCK" on fingerprint fees received.  I called USCIS on Monday to see why its taking so long.  The lady said it was still within posted processing times (blah, blah, blah) and they process in order received (blah, blah, blah).

Anyway, I still have hope this will be approved this will get approved this month.  I cannot imagine what is taking so long.  Happy for all of you that have received your approvals and hope to join your ranks soon.  It's getting lonely in the November area haha!  I might have to join the December or January filers forum so I have somebody to talk to. :)

I hadn't even thought of needing another medical exam!  haha!  Let's hope we get some news soon.  I have had good luck with USCIS approvals happening on Friday night around 9pm.  I hope today will be the day for both of us.  Looks like we have similar timelines.

Those of us who arrived on a K-1 should technically not need another medical if we filed for AOS within a year from the overseas medical. It doesn't have an expiration date.

There are other rules for those of you who did your medical in the US though, yours is only valid for a year from when you submitted your AOS (not from the date you did your medical). That is if you submitted your AOS within one year from the medical date.

Has anyone received a text saying that their case status was updated but when they went to check it online, it was exactly the same?

Mine has my interview scheduled date which I would not expect to change to anything until after the interview so I don't understand why I got a text.

Thanks.

L.

I had that happen with my i-765. I got a text saying I had an update on my case when I already had the card in hand. It was a couple of weeks delayed, that text.

I got a text today as well (or two, actually) for my greencard, didn't see it until now. They must be doing something in the system that generates these texts.

Thanks Scandi!  Glad to know I'm not the only one experiencing the oddity.
