Does anyone have a scan date close to September 29th??? I am in my 5th week hoping to get some type of an answer by the end of this week.

I have my scan date on Sept 27 so nothing yet. I called NVC last week and they said I call a day after the 6 weeks is up. Based on responses in this forum it appears we have some folks on week 6 today and they are waiting for CC so we should follow their status by end of the week and hope they get CC. This will be a good indicator for our case.

Also if after 6 weeks is up call NVC the following day and if they have not touched the case yet request for supervisor review. Folks in this forum mentioned it took up to a week after supervisor review to get CC. I have also read previously others who had CC in 2 days after supervisor review.

I guess we just need to be patient although this is not easy when you have your loved in far distances. I wish you and all the best with great results.

Lastly I have read where some folks have contacted their congress rep and senator and I'm not sure if this action will result in further delays. I have read in previous posts that queries from congress are handled by different department in NVC ; I'm not sure will appreciate if anyone can share their experience or what they know so far.

Got it thank you JFH

Only documents that are not in the native language of the embassy where the interview is being held.

For example, I have a police certificate from Germany because I lived there for many years. Because German is not an official language of the UK (which is where I am interviewing), I had to send a translation also. However, if my interview were in Germany, I would not need to have a German police certificate translated.

The fees are only paid by checking or savings so no option for credit/debit card.

Your DS-261 hasn't been reviewed thats why the IV is still locked. You can call NVC to have it reviewed or wait until they get a chance in a couple weeks to review it.

No, you can only pay the fee from a US bank account.

I finally got all our paperwork in...officially scan date is October 28. Based on what everyone is saying I figure it will be early December when we receive CC, but I would be thrilled if by some miracle it came earlier.

You don't know what torture is until you have to go through this nerve wrecking process of just....waiting. Waiting for cc, waiting for interview date, waiting for the actual interview, waiting through the admin processing! This is the only thing on my mind and I just cannot function anymore!

I can totally relate because I can't even function at work anymore myself. As soon as I get home, i call the NVC, as soon as i wake up, I call the NVC. That's all i think about daily and its getting to me.

I am at Sept 30th. Nothing yet, same here, 5th week.

Just out of curiosity, out of those that are waiting for NVC in November, has anyone started the whole process (with USCIS) earlier than Jan 28th?
