October 12 - notice date

October 17 - got physical copy in mail for NOA1

At the California service center. So looking at the trends/stats, we are looking at around 40 days for NOA2?

Yep! Looks like NOA2 (along with turkey & stuffing!) should arrive around Thanksgiving.

From what I gather, as long as you have your WAC (receipt) number, the hard copy of the NOA1 is pretty much irrelevant.

NOA1 Hard copy received today with official NOA1 date being 7th October 2016. The estimated adjudication date is now between Nov 14th and Nov 20th :dancing:

How are you getting Nov 14/20th for your adjudication?

Looking at the official USCIS processing times:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

For CSC, the I-29F is taking about 5 months. That would place us March-April 2017 for adjudication wouldn't it?

How accurate is VisaJourney timelines with actual estimates

He is only referring to NOA2; 5 months is for the full process.

From what I have read, the times that are quoted on the USCIS website are target processing times and not actual turnaround times. Therefore, as long as it says 5 months on their website then they are meeting their target and not necessarily that's how long they take.

In terms of accuracy of the timeline estimate, it all depends on the information that it is being used to produce this estimate and that's why there are so many caveats at the bottom of your timeline. I wouldn't rely on it and I will use it more as guide as to when my application will be potentially looked at. The thing that I definitely know is that currently USCIS are working on applications submitted around the second week of Sep-16. I have been tracking applications submitted in September through the iPhone case tracker app and I can see that they are working their way through September applications. I hope you find this useful and good luck!!!
