Hi everyone! New here! We sent our paperwork Oct 3rd, and received NOA1 by text/email yesterday!

I'm Canadian and hoping it won't take longer than the 5 months to receive the visa!!! Even though my fiancé and I only live 8 hours away from each other, it's been a long couple of years of Skype life and traveling back and forth! lol

Can someone explain to me what the NOA2 is?? I'm not sure what all the codes mean lol

Welcome! Notice of Action 2, meaning, you have been approved. Application then gets sent NVC, then the consulate.

Read the Guides on top of the webpage.

I was having a look through the statistics that USCIS publishes around how many applications they receive for all visa categories. The latest figures that I could find was for Q3 2016, so in the 9 months from 1st Oct 2015 to 30th June 2016,they received 39,868 I-129f applications (average of 210 cases per work day), approved 32,265 and denied only 5,413. The worrying thing is that at that date they had a backlog of 18,592 cases which seemed to be on the rise. Hopefully, they managed to reduce the backlog during fourth quarter of the year....Good luck everyone and the wait to be with our loved ones will soon be over!!!
