- The Ghana embassy will mail a letter to the petitioner's home.

- The petitioner can then scan the letter and email it to the beneficiary, who will need to print it off and take it to the embassy on a specific day and time.

- The beneficiary will then need to return at a specific time that afternoon to pick up packets 3 & 4.

- Packet 3 will give you instructions for where to get your medical and what to bring to the interview.

- Packet 4 will have your interview date.

I believe it took about 6-8 weeks for us to get the letter when we applied for a K1. I know it's tough, but give them another week or two. Ghana is incredibly busy and likely won't send the letter until they has a spot to schedule your interview. Plus you have to figure mail will take a little time to arrive from Ghana.

Best of luck!

We will try and have little more patience for the call in letter. Thank you for the quick response

Last year they mailed the call letter to me the petitioner, so I was expecting it to be mail to me again but today my fiance went to the post office and there it is the call letter. The embassy received case on August 23rd, date on letter September 7th, mailed it September 16th and inside the mailbox September 19th. Ghana wastes a lot of time mailing the call letter, sending an email will be better. I hope you get yours soon.

The last update on my case status on ceac.state.gov was on September 8th. My fiance will be picking up his appointment package later today.
