My wife went to the SSA office. Something was wrong in her application and it was holding her process. After leaving the office with the "you must wait 4 weeks" regular answer, they found the mistake and called her back 5 minutes later, so she went back to the office and they told her she should receive her SS card in 3-4 days.

Our interview has been scheduled for January 24 in Albuquerque. We are going to start practicing for the questions.

Your timeline is identical to ours, we filed on 9/22 as well, and my husband got his EAD on 12/2 - I am TERRIFIED of the interview, I am just such a worrier and all I do is imagine the worst case scenario, so I was counting on the interview taking 10 months or so from filing (or so my attorney said) so I would have time to relax and not be nervous, but now as I am seeing interviews coming up so soon like yours, it makes me so nervous!!

there IS lots of sample interview questions here on VJ and the internet, I download the ones for Stokes interview, just in case.

Just relax and short direct to the point answers, always truthful, and think before you reply. (well I do at least) Best wishes

I'm still waiting.... no updates since RFE response received on October 27th. I know my field office is in Jacksonville and they're super slow. But they should give me at least a date sometimes soon.

I got my notice for interview in the mail yesterday. My interview is on feb 1st in Detroit as well! But we are now in a tough situation we have booked trips from Jan 29 to feb 24 to visit our sick grandparents in India. Waiting on our lawyer to get back to us to see what we can do. Most likely spend the money to change our airline tickets and go the day after our interview.

Oh wow, yeah, that's a tough situation. It is possible to reschedule the interview, buy you should reach out to USCIS as fast as possible, as it needs to be confirmed before you travel.

Hi everyone, happy holidays. My husband and I are on day 105 and no news in sight about his EAD and/or AOS. Very frustrating, I contacted USCIS already to put in a service request and was told that I would receive an answer in 15 days. We are approaching on the 15 days and still no answer. With most offices being closed today, I will hopefully get a chance to call tomorrow and talk to a tier 2 officer if not get a senator involved and hope that helps! Fingers crossed we hear SOMETHING.
