my husbands interview is August 15...as we prepare for this interview. I remember about a fee of $165 for the green card I believe, correct me if I'm wrong. Is this something that gets paid the day of the interview? I've heard it can be paid online and/or also once he arrives to the u.s.?

According to dwheels' initial post on this thread:

How to pay the Green Card Production fee of $165 on the Elis system.

NO NEED FOR ACCESS CODE, that is for other procedures like getting a copy of a green card, etc.

1. Create the ELIS account here: https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

2. Go here to pay fee: https://www.uscis.go...g-online-filing

3. Click to pay the USCIS immigrant fee icon.

4.Click "continue" at the bottom.

5.Enter the Alien Number and the NVC or DOS case. Use the same email you used on the ELIS account.

This is critical to enable your created ELIS account to receive your payment information.

6. You will get an email confirming your payment.

7. When you log again on the ELIS account, you will see your case number. (It is added automatically).

8. Login into your ELIS account to track or check the status of your Green Card.

Note: Green Card process starts when immigrant enters USA and is processed at POE.

I believe this can be paid after visa approval, either before or after your spouse enters the US (preferably before).

CC - July 7 ? According to the representative Singapore consulate schedule only once a month. Maybe they have done scheduling when i got CC so i have to wait for the following month. Patience is a virtue afterall.

Interview email received. why do the beneficiary needs to bring the recent federal income tax return on the day of the interview when the petitioner already submitted them to nvc. i don't get it. ?

Congratulations to those who reveiced their interview letters finally! I am still waiting for it, and it is really affecting me now.

May I ask when you received them? I'm trying to figure out if there is a system to it all, because I am in a bit of a pinch when it comes to doing the medical (it's on walk in basis here, so no appointment needed, but they only do it on specific days and times). Maybe even in eastern time (US)?

am just wondering if I should call nvc,my cc was on 3rd June,till now I haven't gotten my interview date,just pissed off,I filled for my daughter USA citizenship 2 months ago and she has her passport in hand,but me still waiting for interview date,am in Kenya thanks

You can call NVC and ask if they have already scheduled for Kenya. There are some countries that take longer than others to get an interview date, so really the only way you can find out is to call.
