To those who been waiting and waiting for a CC or interview or any response from uscis/nvc/embassy.... I've been there. It's agitating and heart breaking, but it'll be over soon... this visa journey will usually have a happy ending. PROMISE

Got the email from NVC saying that the case is completed. Waiting for my interview date. CC August 24th.

Just got off the phone with NVC. Interview is scheduled for Oct 27th. 3 months from case complete

did my interview today and they said they need a dna test to prove my father's relation to me,i was in shock why didn't they ask for this before.just when i thought i would be done with this long process it got longer.

does anyone knows how long it takes to do a dna test and get an interview date again?

It all dependent on your evidence. Even parents and children relationship have to show a relationship with pictures, chats all that. DNA is asked when they either don't believe and they want to make sure. It's always asked for after all is said and done. It's not asked for f you weren't approved.

Expect 2 to 4 months. Your father will do his sample at the AABB labs they will then asked you to come in swab you send your sample and then you wait for results.

I would search VJ to see others for your embassy. Don;t hear much about DNA test for Jamaica. So ready don't know how long.

hello guys,

the interview in on 18th september and i didn't do my medical test yet, now i think this is the right time to do the test if i am not wrong "OR" may be two three days more later?

You can do medical whenever you want long as results are at the embassy by interview. My husband had his 2 1/2 months before interview.
