Jon and I have to delay our petition a bit if it gets approved too quickly, so here is to hoping that everyone gets an approval before me so that I have more time to delay it to the timeframes we need!!!

I check the app and USCIS website only once a week since we got our NOA 1. I don't want to drive myself crazy checking all the time. I applaud all of you who are able to do that! lol

Obsessively checking my USCIS account page numerous times every day. I'm just hoping someone drops my file and then accidentally places it at the front of the line or something. This is fun~

Same here! I was reading the June filers' board and they said that date can change depending on what processing times are like. Which is a tiny bit hopeful. :D

Ooooo Maybe several of ours would get lumped in with yours... a mass misplacement at the front... :content:

Congrats!

I believe we all will have our NOA2 very soon, the fiscal year is almost over, immigration should work fast in August and September, faster than before trying to process the backlog.

Good luck to all of us, we all are waiting for it every day

Hello friends!

So I send in my I 129F on 15 July, 2016. I filled out the G 1145 form so that I could get text and email notifications. So I received the email and text on 21 July, and it said that I should receive the hardcopy NOA1 in the mail within 7 to 10 days. Well it's been 16 days since they have received it in the California service Center and I'm just curious as to why the hardcopy is taking so long to get here.

Is there anyone else with the same problem?

Make your account on the USCIS website and check what date it says you can call by, usually about 30 days after NOA1.

It will say "If you do not receive your receipt notice by XXXXX, please call Customer Service at 1-800-375-5283."

Unfortunately, I do not think you can do anything until then. Good luck! :star:

Hey July filers! Mailed ou petition on July 27th...we are on August 6th, and have no news, not even that the check was cashed, nothing. We didn't include the G-1145. Is it normal? Starting worrying.

Don't worry! It took eight days for me to receive my text NOA 1 and several days after that, the check was cashed. A few days later, the paper notice arrived in the mail!

Hey guys - question time.

How are your beneficiary's folks doing these days? I've just learned that my future mother-in-law is rather upset.

I can't say I blame her! I have a daughter (7) and I'd be devastated if she moved to another country, even in adulthood!

My fiancé and I both care about her very much and he - naturally - feels guilty about leaving England. We know his mom wants him to be happy (and as far as I know she doesn't hold any grudge against me - though I'd totally understand if she did, even a teeny one). We know deep down she wants him to be happy but that doesn't ease her own pain, now does it?

I told him the guilt is natural but don't take it personally - we're ALL doing this very thing and there are a lot of moms behind the scenes of VJ are sad to see their sons and daughters go.

It's not personal, it's just the nature of the beast.

So...how is everyone getting on?
