i485 approved but i765 terminated?

Hi there,

hopefully someone can help me clarify the following. I checked my status for both my I-485 and I-765 this morning and I got the following alerts via MyUSCIS status check.

Status of I-485
On June 10, 2016, we mailed your new card for Receipt Number MSC1690******, to the address you gave us. If you do not receive your card by July 10, 2016, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request that we send your new card to you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Status of I-765
On June 8, 2016, we terminated your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number MSC1690******, because the applicant or petitioner received a status or benefit through other means. We will send you a termination notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Do I need to be concerned that I-765 was terminated? or this is normal as approval of I-485 will allow me to work and seek employment?

In addition what will my next steps be? Can i start looking for a job as soon as my card arrives in the mail? or do i need to schedule an INFOPASS appointment to have my passport stamped before I can look for employment?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

No dude, You should be excited! That means they have mailed you your green card. Green card trumps any employment authorization card that you would have otherwise received. They mail card 2 day priority, so if you don't get it tomorrow, you will get it Monday!



Nothing to worry about. This happened to us. Green card was approved before work authorization or advanced parole (travel) was.

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

Being a lawful permanent resident allows you to work in the US. You do not need an EAD now.

No stamp. You will have the green card in hand soon. You can start looking for work now.

I have said it many times... USCIS is so odd!

I have the same dates, on the 8th my EAD was mailed, on the 10th my GC got mailed. But since my Greencard is approved, the EAD is useless, so the same for you... no need for your work permit once you have the greencard in hand =)

Met around 2011/2012 in a game (league of legends) super random, best friends ever since... grew closer as friends and desided in 2013 to try dating, flew over and we had a click =)

Two last question I got a I-797 approval notice in the mail but no Permanent residence card. The notice states I will receive the card in 3 weeks via mail.

1) Do i need the physical card to get a job? Or will I be able to apply and get hired without my physical Permanent residence card?

2) Is my permanent residence card the same as a green card?

It is hard to get hired without the proof that you are a resident, if receiving the card takes a long time you can go to the field office and get your passport stamped, that will be good proof.

The permanent resident card IS the greencard

I just want to let you know, my EAD card, the one that was send the 8th, was delivered today. I expect my GC (same date of being mailed) monday or tuesday. I will post here once I have my greencard, hoping you have yours as well =) Then there's no need to drag along the approval haha

Hi there,


Hope this message finds everyone well during the Holidays!

Wanted to get any pointers as I am applying for my removal of conditions on residence for my K1 Visa.

I-751
I know I will have to fill out and submit I-751 form. Is there any additional steps or things I need to prepare? 

Fees

$595. All Form I-751 petitions also require an $85 biometric service fee for a total of $680. See the form Instructions for payment details.

Will I have to pay the $85 bio metric fee? What is this for?

 

 

Any other tips, tricks or advice would be appreicated!
