No Notice of Action but Check Cashed a Month Ago! (I130)

I mailed in the I130 packet to the Chicago lock box on April 12th, it was delivered on April 14th. Check cashed on April 19th.

I have not yet received a Notice of Action or RFE, vial mail or email or text.

Is this a normal amount of processing time?

Should I try to contact USCIS? Is it even possible to contact USCIS without a case number?

No one month is not normal you should call USCIS to ask for NOA1, They can always send you a duplicate one if the first one was not received/lost. I would recommend at least get your USCIS receipt number from them so you can check the status online.

No. You should have received your NOA1 and tracking number within a week. You really should call USCIS. If you are looking for NOA2, It should take 3-5 months. Get your tracking number so you can sign up for text and email notification and check status on-line.

My NOA1 date was 24th March and I got my email on 30th March, and hardcopy in the mail 11th April (all the way over in Australia). I'd say call and speak to USCIS.

To clarify: I am physically overseas but I have a US mailing address where the NOA would have been received... if it was sent. I also did not receive an email despite sending a G1145.

Today I emailed the lock box support address, as I don't know what else to do since I do not have a case number.

Usually check gets cash and then your package forwards to random processing center

In my case I had to submit my to Phinox I think and then they cashed check and forwarded my application to Nabraska. But I got my NOA1 in 7 days of submitting application.

As other suggested call USCIS and find out what's going on.

Also if you residing overseas and US citizen and work outside you should send i130 to country you residing If US counslate process i130 there. That's fastest way in my knowledge.

Only a small handful of countries have a USCIS field office which would allow a petitioner (provided they met certain qualifications) to send the I-130 there in lieu of sending it to the lockbox facility in the US.

You should call, if you applied to get an email or text at this point you should've at least gotten either or regardless of where you are and you haven't gotten anything. Give them a call and ask for an update let them know the date you sent your package.
